CAPT. HUGH DRAFFIN

Died, at his residence, near Lancasterville, on Sabbath, 27th inst., Capt. Hugh Draffin, aged 45 years and 5 months, a member of the Associate Reformed Church. (eulogy). (Ibid.)

JAMES HUEY DRAFFIN

Died near Shiloh church, Lancaster, S. C., on the 27th of January, (p. 92) 1885, little James Huey, son of Mr. R. W. and Mrs. M. E. Draffin. Aged 3 years, 4 months and 9 days.

MR. LESLIE MILLEN DRAFFIN

LANCASTER - Mr. Leslie Millen Draffin ... died Friday, June 30, 1995, at his home. He was 82.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Shiloh A.R.P. Church with the Revs. Steve Ulmer and Wayne Dickson officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Mr. Draffin was a retired parts manager for Blackmon Tractor and Truck Company. He was a member of Shiloh A.R.P. Church and a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Lucile Millen Draffin; two sons, the Rev. Calvin Draffin of Clover and Robert Draffin of Lancaster; his daughter, Harriet Pipkin of Johnson City, Tenn.; three sisters, Mary McIlwain of Columbia, Elizabeth Westbrook of Edgemoor, and Jessie Griffith of Lancaster; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Cauthen Funeral Home, Lancaster chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Shiloh A.R.P. Church Building Fund, 346 Shiloh-Unity Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to Hospice, 800 West Meeting St., Lancaster.

MRS. M. E. (THOMPSON) DRAFFIN

Mrs. M. E. (Thompson) Draffin, consort of Mr. R. W. Draffin, was born on the 24th of August, 1844, and died February 25th, 1885 .... (married in) 1874. The fruit of this relation was four children, three of whom preceded her to the grave.

N. ELLA DRAFFIN

MRS. S. S. (CRAIG) DRAFFIN

Died near Shiloh church, Lancaster, S. C., on the 7th of February, 1885, Mrs. S. S. (Craig) Draffin, consort of Capt. Hugh Draffin, deceased, in the 73rd year of her age since the 19th of Nevember ... (married) in 1834 .... The fruit of this relation was five children, all of whom embraced the religion of their parents, and now survive.

WILLIAM PLAXCO DRAFFIN

William Plaxco, infant son of Mr. R. W. and Mrs. M. E. Draffin, was born on the 1st of April, 1884, and died on the 18th of February, 1885. (p. 96) Out of four children, only one survives.

ALEXANDER C. DUNLAP

Departed this life at his residence in Lancasterville, on Thursday evening, 24th Nov., 1859, Mr. Alexander C. Dunlap a native of this District, born 10th May 1800, and the son of Mr. William Dunlap sen., that good and excellent man. [long eulogy] funeral obsequies were performed by Rev. Mr. Craig and his remains emtombed in the Village graveyard. (November 30, 1859)

CORPORAL M.L. DUNLAP

Corporal M. L. Dunlap, of Capt. Foster's Co., 4th S. C. Cavalry, was wounded MAy 28th near Richmond, and died in that city, June 8th 1864, aged about 22 years. The subject of this notice was a native of Lancaster District. He lived a consistent member of the M. E. Church, South. (August 16, 1864)

R.D.M. DUNLAP

Died, at his residence in Lancaster District, on 27th Dec. ult. R. D. M. Dunlap, in the 56th year of his age. In early manhood he connected himself with the Presbyterian Church, and worshipped with the congregation at Waxhaw. And for many years he exercised the functions of Ruling Elder. Mr. Dunlap was Treasurer of the Waxhaw Bible Society.(February 10, 1864)

REV. ROBERT W. DUNLAP

Departed this life in Hagers Town, Maryland, on Sunday the 17th Feburary, Rev. Robert W. Dunlap, in the 46th year of his age; a native of Lancaster District, S. C., and the youngest son of that most worthy man, the late Wm. Dunlap, Sen. At an early age, he became a member of the Presbyterian Church at Waxhaw; graduated from the University of N. C. at Chapel Hill, in 1835; became pastor in 1837 or 1838 of the Presbyterian Church in St. Augustine, Fla. Afterwards he was Pastor of the Church in Columbia, Pa., also in Baltimore, and in the city of New York, and for the last five years in Hagers Town; his brother (Mr. A. C. Dunlap).... (long eulogy). (March 5, 1856)

SAMUEL F. DUNLAP

Died in Lancasterville on Sabbath morning, 17th inst., of Bilious fever, Mr. Samuel F. Dunlap, a Ruling Elder in the Presbyterian Church. On Monday evening, he was interred in the Waxhaw grave yard, by the side of his beloved wife who departed this life about two years ago. (August 26, 1834)
