Antoine Dunston Antoine L. Dunston was born October 4, 1845 (or so), in Iowa County Wisconsin near Mineral Point or Peddler's Creek, near Linden. He served twice during the Civil War. He was in Company A of the 33rd Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry. Later he was in Company H of the 44th Regiment. After his divorce from Ella Heberling, he eventually worked several years in Madison. By 1913, he was staying at the National Military Home in Milwaukee. He died January 19, 1916 in Madison. He is buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison, in grave 20, tier B in Union Rest.

Antoin L. Dunston died Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of his niece, Mrs. Ethel Laley, 436 West Johnson street. He was 69 years old and formerly lived in Highland, Wisconsin.
   The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Powers' funeral parlors, under the auspices of the G. A. R.
  He was a member of Company H, 44th Wisconsin Infantry.
