December 1912 Dec. 12th --Mary Maruska, 16 months, of Georgetown, of burns sustained from scalding milk. Elizabeth Charnagoski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Charnagoski of Wilkes-Barre, 5 years, clothing ignited at a bon fire. Dec. 14th -- Eli, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Brown of Ryman’s Pond, drowned by breaking through the ice while skating. Anna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dido of Plymouth, 14 months fell into a tub of hot water. Dec. 17th -- Victoria and Celia Myzick of Preston, 14 and 6 years, burned by explosion of a lamp which one of them had pulled over on a bed in her sleep. William Daboskie of Pittston, by the explosion of gasoline in a garage. Dec. 22nd -- Yorayh Evans of Plymouth, 27 years fell from a tree while inspecting wires. Dec. 24th -- Angelo Algazino of Maltby, 4 years fell into a tub of hot water. Dec. 27th -- Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw of Larksville, 32 years, asphyxiated by coal gas in her home. Dec. 29th -- Malcolm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oliver of Pittston, 8 years, collided with a street car while coasting down hill. January 1913 Jan 10th -- Eva, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Lutkewicz of Edwardsville, 10 years struck by a bullet from a gun in the hands of her brother. Jan. 18th -- Malcolm, son of Mr. & Mrs. William Andreas of Shickshinny, 10 years, broke through the ice while ice skating. William J. Myers of Zenith, 45 years, struck by a tree which was uprooted by the wind. Jan. 26th -- Robert J. Gibbons, Jr., of Wilkes-Barre, 22 years, of injuries sustained by falling from a street car. Jan. 30th -- John Patinski of Wanamie, 10 years accidentally shot by a companion. Jan. 31st -- James Colonne of Wilkes-Barre, 29 years, killed by a rock slipping from a chain while at work. February 1913 Feb. 4th -- Simon Reynolds of Plymouth, slipped and fell while shaving, the razor cutting a gash in his throat. Feb. 5th -- Infant daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Michael Stylpokowski of Shickshinny, burned to death by fire in the home. Feb. 6th -- Warren Shiber, 10 years, son of Mr. & Mrs. William Shiber of Wilkes-Barre, accidentally shot with a gun in the hands of his brother. Feb. 7th -- A. J. Mako of Hazleton, of injuries sustained in an iron works. Feb. 8th -- Adam Muller of Wilkes-Barre, 91 years, from the effect of a broken hip. Feb. 11th -- John Durkin of Avoca, 21 years, of injuries sustained I a boxing match. Feb. 16th -- Michael Bell of Yatesville, run over by a street car. Feb. 19th -- Joseph Gonuizi of Hilldale, run over by a street car. Feb. 22nd -- Emma, daughter of Nicholas Flaim of West Hazleton, 6 years scalded by a boiler of water upsetting from the stove. Feb. 26th -- Charles Rolck of West Avoca, 22 years, smothered by smoke from a fire in his room. March 1913 Mar. 8th -- Peter Wolfe of Wapwallopen Valley, 57 years, from injuries sustained by falling from a wagon. Mar. 11th -- Anthony Beliewski, 12 years, Georgetown, accidentally shot. Mar. 12th -- Miss Amanda C. Fertick of Wilkes-Barre, 54 years, as the result of burns. Mar. 13th -- John Slobinski of Ashley, about 40 years, struck by a street car. Mar. 16th -- Dominick Guiseppe of Pittston, struck by a Laurel Line car. Mar. 21st -- Ruth, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harry Ringdon, Wilkes-Barre, 10 years, as the result of a fall. Mar. 23rd -- Edward Collins of Hazleton, 8 years struck by an automobile. William Mensinger of Rock Glen, crushed by a log rolling on him. April Apr. 8th -- Amelia, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas Rataness, 7 years, Wilkes-Barre, clothing ignited at a bon fire. Apr. 10th -- Gottleib Schmalz of Hughestown, fell off bridge into the river and was drowned. Cassie, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Stolen of West Pittston, 6 years, clothing ignited while playing about a yard fire. Apr. 13th -- John Powell of Wilkes-Barre, 52 years, fell from a porch. Apr. 14th -- Edward Zimmerman of Wilkes-Barre, 7 years, crushed by an automobile. Apr. 18th -- Young daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Kulas of Pittston, clothing ignited at a yard fire. Apr. 23rd -- Frances Walakus of Pittston, 4 years, clothing ignited while playing with matches. Apr. 29th -- Alfred, son of Mr. & Mrs. David J. Ashton of Plymouth, 12 years, drowned in the river by falling from a bridge. George Kwiatkowski of Plains, of lockjaw resulting from stepping on a nail. Apr. 30th -- Leo E. Walsh of Wilkes-Barre, 28 years, motorcycle he was riding collided with a bridge railing. May May 2nd -- Samuel Freelander of Wilkes-Barre, 33 years, run down by an automobile. May 3rd -- Body of Jethro Richards of Forty Fort found in the river; left home a few days before to go boating. May 4th -- Mrs. Alezander Savwicka of Miner’s Mills, 67 years, fell out of a window. May 12th -- Mrs. Sarah Morgan of Nanticoke, 69 years, fell down steps. Mrs. Catherine Lyons of Pittston, clothing ignited while preparing a meal. May 15th -- Reuben Silverstein of Wilkes-Barre, 40 years, shaft of wagon run into his body. Mrs. Frances Jenkins of Larksville, 68 years, of burns sustained by clothing igniting at a culm bank. May 23rd -- Peter Pauke of Georgetown, 20 years, electrocuted on the Wilkes-Barre & Hazleton third rail line. Frederick Fischer of Wilkes-Barre, 42 years, from fracture of the skull sustained in some unknown manner. May 24th -- Harvey Erney, 25 years, drowned near White Haven while fishing. May 28th -- Thomas H. Pugh of Plymouth, son of Mr. & Mrs. Evan Pugh, 11 months burned to death by a fire in the home. May 31st -- Thomas Robbins of Wilkes-Barre, drowned while fishing in a pond hole. June June 3rd -- Mrs. Jane Davis of Pike’s Creek, 61 years, of burns sustained by the ignition of her clothing while boiling water. June 8th -- John, son of Mr. & Mrs. Alvin Hughes of Drifton, 3 years, clothing ignited while playing with matches. June 13th -- Bertram VanLoon of Plymouth, 23 years, fell from a bridge while working upon it. June 17th -- Frank Breame of Hazleton, 16 years, fell from a motor truck. June 18th -- Julius Schrank of Kingston, 25 years, skull fractured in a lumber mill. June 19th -- George Gross of Hazleton, 48 years, came in contact with charged wire. June 21st -- James Fanning 40 years, electrocuted by catching hold of a live wire at Port Blanchard. John Slakowski of Lraksville, of injuries sustained by falling from a porch. June 22nd -- Harry Pantiloni of Nanticoke, 13 years, drowned I a pond while bathing. June 23rd -- Samuel Feitle of Wilkes-Barre, 50 years, team went over an embankment. Godanious Pocukonis of Larksville, drowned in the river while bathing. June 28th -- Fannie Davis, 9 years, run down by an automobile in Hazleton. July July 1st -- George Jermyn of Wilkes-Barre, 12 years, drowned in the river while bathing. July 5th -- John Smith of Port Bowkley, 19 years, drowned in the river while bathing. July 8th -- S. Shindle of Tamaqua and Baird Snyder Kr., of Pottsville, killed by automobile going down an embankment near Wapwallopen. July 12th -- Patrick Gibbons of Miner’s Mills, 52, years, run over by a street car. July 15th -- Joseph Briel of Wilkes-Barre, 23 years, of Hydrophobia due to a dog’s bite. John Zupa of Swoyersville, 11 years, drowned in the river while trying to reach a ball. July 18th -- Mrs. Ann Benninger of Ashley, 80 years, of injuries sustained by falling down stairs. July 19th -- Anthony Mulaties of Pittston, buried by a cave-in while excavating in a sewer trench. July 21st -- Isidor Seeherman of Midvale, 15 years, electrocuted by a live wire. July 22nd -- Thomas Flynn of Ashley, 39 years, struck by an air hammer. July 24th -- Grace Saittee of Pittston, 2 years, skull fractured by falling from a porch. July 27th -- Edward Kinney of Sugar Notch, 29 years, of lockjaw caused by a bruised toe. July 28th -- Dale Decker of West Avoca, son of Samuel Decker, 11 years, struck by lighting. July 30th -- James, son of Irene Ritter of Wilkes-Barre, 16 months, fell from a third story porch. August Aug. 2nd -- William Griffiths of Miner’s Mills, 24 years, drowned in Harvey’s Lake while bathing. Samuel Weed of Plainsville, 61 years, drowned in the river while wading the stream for fishing. Edith Smith of Wilkes-Barre, 2 years, run over by a street car. Aug. 3rd -- James Borman of Pittston, 54 years, by falling in a quarry. Charles Deets of Kingston, 22 years, struck by a base ball while playing a game at Harvey’s Lake. Dominick DeRucca of Hazleton, 7 years, accidentally shot with a rifle he was handling. Aug. 6th -- Arthur May and Walter Fry of Hazleton, about 20 years, killed by coming in contact with live wire. Aug 7th -- George Barta of Upper Lehigh, 17 years, struck by lighting. Aug. 17th -- Lewis Walters of Edwardsville, 14 years, drowned in the river while bathing. Aug. 24th -- Arthur Shupp of Larksville, 18 years, electrocuted by a live wire. September Sept. 2nd -- Harry Becker, son of Mr. & Mrs. Harry Becker of Wilkes-Barre, fell from a fence. Sept. 3rd -- John Sauer of Wilkes-Barre, 60 years, as the result of a fall. Sept. 5th -- Michael Rinnick of Breslau, 45 years, smothered by a fall of clay in a brickyard. Sept. 6th -- John Mascavage of Plymouth, 48 years, crushed at Retreat by a fall of earth. Sept. 7th -- Infant child of Mr. & Mrs. David Morris of Wanamie, 14 months, fell into a tub of water. Sept. 9th -- Laisick, son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Crahalla of Edwardsville, 9 years, run over by a switch engine. Charles Jones of Noxen, 50 years, killed by a street car at Kingston. Sept. 10th -- Bernard Meehan of Nanticoke, 55 years, fell from a coach. Thomas Hocken of Nanticoke, as the result of injuries sustained in a runaway. Sept. 11th -- Joseph Miller of West Pittston, run over by a street car. Sept. 12th -- Nelson Brennan of Wilkes-Barre, 10 years, run over by an automobile. Perry Tillman of West Pittston, 34 years, from injuries sustained in a runaway. Sept. 18th -- Peter Waskiwicz of Pittston, tree fell upon him. Sept. 22nd -- Fiordi Shivi of Swoyerville, 5 years, fell into a sand pit and was drowned. Sept. 25th -- Ruth, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Williams of Wilkes-Barre, 3 years, dress ignited from a match. Sept. 26th -- Thomas Scott, 52 years, of Sebastapol, fell from a bridge. October Oct. 1st -- Stanley Penzi of Larksville, 10 years, electrocuted by coming in contact with a live wire. Oct. 3rd-- John Switch of Midvale, 7 years, run over by an automobile. Oct. 7th -- Olaf Yocosky of Wilkes-Barre, 2 years, run over by a wedding coach. Oct 17th -- Charles, son of Mr. & Mrs. William J. Powell, Wilkes-Barre, 11 years, smothered by a cave-in. Joseph Strudach of Pittston, 51 years, killed by a runaway team. Oct. 21st -- Mrs. Edward J. Quinnan of Cranberry, clothing ignited at a bon fire. Oct. 23rd -- Child of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Most of Hanover Township, burned to death as the result of playing with matches. Oct. 24th -- Mary Bilichi of Breslau, 12 years, drowned in a pond hole. David Williamson of Avoca, 27 years, electrocuted on the Laurel Line. Oct 26th -- James Sweeney of Plains, son of Mr. & Mrs. Sweeney, 12 years, accidentally shot. Oct. 28th -- Stanley Bleesyck of Edwardsville, 10 years, scalded by upsetting tub of hot water. November Nov. 13th -- Mrs. Michael Dopcyinski of Plains 60 years, of injuries sustained by a fall.
