Dec. 25th 1916 ( not included in last year’s Almanac) Luigi Pilotti of Pringle, shot and killed by a bullet through a door, mistaken for someone else. Jan. 28th Augustine Bicelli of Pittston, shot and died. The result of a quarrel. Feb. 26th Joseph Miarimi 30, of Port Blanchard, died of bullet wounds during a quarrel. Feb.26th Women in Dorrance Township threw her 10 month old baby into a spring. Mar.24th Frank Petulonis of Pittston, stab wounds, result of quarrel. Mar.25th Anthony Wallinch of Wilkes-Barre who was found dead, was murdered. Mar.31st John Wablis,34 of Pringle, died of gunshot wound during a quarrel. Aug.7th Peter Rzezinski of Sheatown died of gunshot wound by someone, cause unknown. Aug.23rd Mrs.Thomas G.Reese of Parsons, shot to death while protecting a neighbor women from her husband. Aug.24th Frank Siezko of Plains Township died of bullet wound inflicted by a constable, who claimed self defense. In Sept .four Brookside men were committed to jail on suspicion of killing William Szabinski, 33 of Plains, then placing his body on a RR track July 8th In Nov.Charles Attard,35 of Pittston was shot as the result of a feud among Italians.
