Jan.9th Thomas Berry, 74 years automobile accident. Jan.11th Edward O’Hare of Plymouth suffocated by sulphur fumes on a Culm bank. Jan.12th Joseph Naus,23 years, of Hazleton fell from his wagon. Jan.13th Frank Grimes,28 years, of Hudson skull fractured by a fall. Jan. 18th Benjamin Sims, 50 years, of St. Johns while loading lumber. Jan 25th Florence Kirshner,2 years of Midvale daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe, of burns sustained by spilling a pot of coffee. Feb.7th Guitano Picharello of Pittston, overcome by the gas from a furnace. Feb.7th Mary Kovich,3 years, of Hazleton, fell into a tub of scalding water. Feb.7th George Dettmore, 34 years, of Dettmore, buried under live coals at the steam heat plant. Feb.13th Theda Manalas,2 years, of Plymouth, fell into a tub of scalding water. May 4th Frank Lehofski, 40 years, of Plains run over by a street car. May 10th Clayton Siter,11years, of White Haven struck by a automobile. May 19th Joseph and Anthony Kollander, aged 12 years, and John Burke, aged 12 years, all of Avoca, drowned in a reservoir by the upsetting of a raft with which they were playing. May 20th William E. Phillips, of Wilkes-Barre, aged about 30 years, struck by a Laurel Line car. May 21st Mrs. John Gregorski, fell under a Laurel Line car at the South Avoca station. May 26th William McDermott, 46 years, of Sugar notch, electrocuted while trying to save a fellow workman. June 3rd Anthony Samonsky, 23 years, of Exeter Borough, injuries sustained by falling from a trolley car. July 3rd Stanley Stankewicz of Pittston, drowned while fishing at Falling Springs, the boat capsizing. July 6th Frances C. Eley, 2 years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph C. Eley, killed in a collision between a trolley car and aautomobile at Fernbrook. July 16th Edward Harnon of Plains, 12 years, drowned in a mine cave hole while swimming. Aug.10th James McDonnell of Pittston, drowned in the river after jumping from a bridge to demonstrate his skill. Aug.15th Thomas W.Davis,61 years, dies at west side hospital of injuries sustained by falling from a porch. Aug.16th Mary Myereski of Duryea, 10 years, drowned in the Lackawanna river by sliding into the water over a stone. Sept.23rd Stanley Volaskey, Phebian Stanislaw, and Stanley Mikesco of Wilkes-Barre township, killed by a train striking their automobile at Glen Summit. Andrew Robinak of Nanticoke,23 years, electrocuted by an electric wire extension into his garage. Nov.5th Alfred Hess of Shickshinny, 15 years,shot by a companion accidentally while hunting. Nov.5th Thomas Arnold of Lee Park, 65 years, of injuries sustained by an automobile striking his wagon. Nov.6th Miles Davis of Wilkes-Barre, 15 years, son of Mr.and Mrs.David T.Davis, crashed into a automobile on a runaway bicycle. Nov.7th Nicholas Scallion, 4 years, drowned by falling into a flooded excavation. Nov.9th Michael Sucko of Nanticoke, 7 years, struck by a street car. Nov.14th Sergeant William T.Kolb, of the 109th Field Artillery, a resident of Dorranceton,dies as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Wyoming.
