Pender County
1875



In 1725, the settlement of the Lower Cape Fear was made and
County of New Hanover was established in 1728.  On February
16, 1875, by an act of the General Assembly, Pender County
was formed out of the Mother County, New Hanover.  This is its
origin.


Below are two members of my family lines which held an office
after the establishment of Pender County.

Elected as a Commissioner of Pender County, NC
Took oath of office April 29, 1875

Elected as 1st Sheriff of Pender County, NC
3rd Thursday, April 1875

1st Court in Pender County, NC
Jul 12, 1875
