Grace Barnhill Lockamy, of St. Helena, NC, died at her residence.

She was born in Pender County, NC, on April 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Willie Don and Ella Lee Wallace Barnhill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Lockamy.

Mrs. Lockamy was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Vacation Bible School for many years, until she relocated to Pender County.

Surviving are her son, Gregory Lockamy and wife Amy of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Alan Lockamy, Quinn Lockamy, Kyle Watson and Savannah Watson; two sisters, Emily Millard of Shallotte, NC, and Gladys Burleson and husband Glen of Castle Hayne, NC; and one sister-in-law, Daphne Albright of Wilmington, NC.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007, in Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Sam Hill. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office and past and present members of the Wilmington Fire Department.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel.
