| 5 MAY 1837, Friday On Friday the 28th ultimo, Jane Henry Richards, eldest daughter of Mr. Richards, of Truro, architect, aged 43 years.� For several years an honourable member of the Independent Church, and highly esteemed by her Christian friends. At Falmouth, on the 3rd instant, Mrs. Mary Tregoning, aged 73 years; for many years a respectable shopkeeper in that town.� She was a pious and sincere Christian, a member of the Wesleyan society for a long period, and bore her numerous and great afflictions in this world with resignation; she fell asleep in Jesus�- her end was peace.� Long will she be remembered by a large circle of sincere friends. At Lower St. Columb, on Saturday last, Mr. James Henwood, mason, aged 72 years; much respected by all who knew him. At Padstow, on Tuesday last, after a lingering illness, Mrs. Eleanor Elliott. At Bristol, on Friday last, Mrs. Harvey, wife of Capt. John Harvey, late of Hayle. At Jamaica, West Indies, on December 29, Mr. Henry Horswell, late master of the brig "Phoebe" of Hayle, aged 33 years. At Penzance, on Monday last, the infant son of Mr. Gruzelier, aged 13 weeks. Lately at Liskeard, in the workhouse, Parnall Cowling, aged 101 years. On Tuesday last, at Grampound, Mrs. Cook, at the advanced age of 99 years and 2 months; the deceased was able to read the smallest print, almost to the last, without spectacles. On Monday last, at Fenferwanson, near Camelford, of apoplexy, Mr. Thomas Henwood, aged 50 years. 12 MAY 1837 On the 2nd instant, at Stoke, much and deservedly respected, John Tippet, Esq. for a great many years' Collector of Customs, at the port of Truro, aged 78 years. Lately, at Guernsey, Leonora, the wife of Albert Carey, Esq. and daughter of Colonel Cardew, of the Royal Engineers. At Penzance, on Monday last, Mrs. Hambleton, aged 67 years. At East Looe, on the 3rd instant, Mr. Wm. Best, late master of the schooner "Patience" aged 82 years. Last week, at Fowey, Mr. Wm. Cowling, late master of the schooner "Sarah" of London, aged 74 years. At Mevagissey, on Saturday last, aged about 12 years, the only daughter of Mr. Nicholas Lelean, shipwright.� Also, John Clark, fisherman, aged 65 years, a consistent member of the Wesleyan Society. On the 27th ult., at Trewithian, in Gerrans, Jacob Robins, aged 79.� During 59 years he had faithful hind in the family of Mr. G. Cregoe, Esq., and it is a pleasing duty to pay a tribute of respect to the memory of an old servant, who for more than half a century conducted the business of the farm at Trewithian with great skill; who was generally admitted to be one of the best judges of cattle in the neighbourhood; and who, during the long period of his servitude, managed all the sales and purchases on the estate with matchless fidelity and irreproachable honesty.� He was followed to his grave by a numerous assemblage of persons anxious to pay the last indication of respect to sterling worth and undeviating integrity. On Monday last, aged 20 years, Mr. Wm. Squire, jun. clerk in the East Cornwall Branch Bank, Bodmin, and son of Mr. John Squire, sen. Clerk in the East Cornwall Bank, Liskeard. On Thursday last, at Poulshay, in the parish of St. Tudy, Mr. Edward Symons, a respectable farmer, aged 78 years. 19 MAY 1837, Friday On Friday last, at the house of her brother-in-law, Mr. Robt. Lewis, Rosewin-row, Truro, Miss Pasco, daughter of the late Mr. Jas. Pasco, schoolmaster of that place, aged 53 years. At Penzance, after a long illness, on Sunday last, the eldest son of the Rev. J. Fussell. At St. Ives, on the 14th instant, Mrs. Catharine Couch, aged 89 years. On the 29th of March last, at Barbadoes, after a protracted illness, Edward Wason, Esq. aged 62 years. On Tuesday last, at Truro, the youngest daughter of Mr. H. Semmons, jeweler &c At Bodmin on Tuesday last, Mr. Salter, aged 74 years, having filled the office of clerk of that parish for upwards of 40 years. At Dunstanville-terrace, Falmouth, on Friday last,� Mrs. Bannister, aged 31 years. At Falmouth, on Monday last, of consumption, Mrs. Joseph Vivian, jun., daughter of the late Samson Dennis, Esq., of Budock, in the 28th year of her age. On Thursday last, at Launceston, Caroline, eldest daughter of Mr. Browne, grocer. On Tuesday last, at Feock, Maria, wife of Mr. Paul Clark, and daughter of the late Mr. John Clark, of Boscolla, aged 30 years, 11 of which she was a consistent member of the Methodist Society; her end was peace. At Angarrack, near Hayle, on Monday last, Mr. Matthew Tremayne, aged 81 years. Suddenly, at Hayle, on Tuesday last, Mrs. Hooper, of the Commercial Inn, aged 49 years, a woman in whom the poor found a sympathizing friend, and whose loss is deplored by a large circle of sorrowing friends. 26 MAY 1837, Friday Suddenly, at Redruth, on Thursday morning last, the infant child of Mr. Robert Tweedy. At Redruth on Friday last, Mr. Charles Grose, aged 38 years. Lately, after a short illness, at her residence, at Breage Church-town, aged 67 years, Miss Lydia Hamlin, who was nearly related to the families of Borlase and Trea.. here. At Helston, on Friday last, Mr. John Bishop, aged 76 years. On Sunday last, at Helston, Mrs. Richards, wife of Mr. Thos. Richards, builder &c., after a painful and lingering illness which she bore with a Christian resignation to the Divine will, aged 61 years, 39 of which she was a consistent member of the Methodist Society. On Monday last, at Penryn, Mr. Richard Gearl, builder, aged 71 years. At Budleigh Vicarage, Devon, the residence of his father, the Rev. A. Stapleton, Mr. Ambrose Stapleton, late of Penzance.
