At St. Mawes, on the 21th ult., Mr. Nicholas Pearce, aged 75 years.
At Helson, on the 30th ult., Albert Carne, infant son of Mr. Jonathan Hodge, silversmith, &c., aged seven weeks.
At Treguein, in Breage, on the 29th ult., John Glasson, second son of Mr. G. Treweeke, aged seven years.
On sunday last, at Chacewater, Mrs. Tyack, aged 79 years.
At Probus, on Monday last, Mrs. Roope, aged 68 years. - Her end was peace.
At Trenance, St. Austell, on Thursday last, John, youngest son of Mr. George Andrew, aged 13 months.
At St. Austell, on Thursday last, Mrs. Farren, aged 69 years. Also, on Sunday, Mr. James Carbis, aged 75 years.
Suddenly, at St. Columb, on Wednesday last, Mr. John Rains, sen., tailor.
At Padstow, on Thursday, the 26th ult., the wife of Mr. T. Carter, shipbuilder, of that place, aged 31 years.

In Pydar-street, Truro, on Monday last, Mary Ann, wife of Mr. Simeon WILLS, aged 27 years.
At Penzance, on Sunday last, Aaron SCOBELL, Esq., solicitor, at an advanced age.
At Moorwinstow, on the 3rd instant, aged 80 years, Mr. Edward SHEARM, a respectable farmer of that parish, and father of Edward Shearm, Esq., solicitor, of Stratton.
At Liskeard, on Thursday last, aged 60 years, Mr. WEEKS, late of Launceston.
At Falmouth, on Saturday last, Mr. THOMAS, of the King's Head Inn, aged 42 years, much respected.
At Dunstanville Terrace, Falmouth, (late of Exeter), on the 7th instant, after a short illness, Julianna, wife of Mr. Thomas STRIGHT, aged 56 years, a most affectionate wife, and respected by a numerous circle of friends.

At Harmony Cottage, near Lostwithiel, on the 8th instant, aged 94 years, Mrs. PAWLEY, beloved and sincerely regretted by all who knew her.
At Lostwithiel, on the 2nd instant, Mr. H.B. WARD, cabinet maker, aged 66 years.
At East Looe, on the 31st ult., Mr. S. PARNAL, aged 69 years. - Also, Mr. Benjamin DEBELL, aged 62 years.
At Tregonetha, St. Wenn, on Monday last, Miss Ann MERIFIELD, aged 18 years.
At St. Austell, on Wednesday last, aged 82 years, Mrs. Elizabeth GILES, relict of the late Mr. W. Giles, for many years of the King's Head Inn, in that town.
At Saltash, Mrs. TROUNSELL, widow of the late Mr. Trounsell, R.N. - Also, Mr. RUNDLE, father of Mr. Rundle, ironmonger, Fore-street.
At Bilston, Staffordshire, aged 49 years, Mr. John ROBERTS, leaving a wife and four children. He was the inventor of the Fire Escape Hood, or the Miners' Hood, and greatly improved Davy's Safety Lamp, but he died in indigent circumstances.

On the 27th ult., at Trefular, near St. Day, aged 49 years, Catherine, eldest daughter of Capt. Wm. RABEY.
Lately, at Gainsborough, after a long and very painful illness, borne with great Christian resignation and humility, Mr. Abraham OXLEY, formerly of Bristol, but more recently of Marazion in this county, at which latter place he had resided many years, and where by his upright and highly honourable conduct, he had greatly endeared himself to his friends, and to the Inhabitants generally, as evinced by the regret universally expressed on his leaving that town in search of improved health in his native air.
On Tuesday last, the 14th instant, at her son's residence, Liverpool, Mrs. SAMPSON, aged 66 years, widow of the late Capt. Sampson, of Gwennap. Of her may truly be said, through life she was beloved and respected, and proved, in death, that she rested on that rock of ages which had been her uniform support through life.
At St. Ives, on the 14th instant, Mr. Richard PEARCE, butcher, aged 55 years.
At Probus, on Wednesday, the 15th instant, Mr. Henry ALLEN, mason, aged 73 years.
At Endellion, on Tuesday last, Mary, only daughter of Mr. Wiliam GRAY, aged 13 years.
At Lostwithiel, on the 13th instant, Wm. Burgess, Esq., aged 76 years, deeply lamented by all who knew him.
At Polscoe, near Lostwithiel, Mr. SHORT, aged 75 years.
On Friday, the 10th instant, the infant son of Mr. Richard WARREN, schoolmaster, of Trewellard, in the parish of St. Just in Roseland.
At Chyandour, after a very short illness, Mr. STAPLETON, aged 22 years.
At Redkedinnick, in the parish of Camborne, on Thursday last, Mr. Wm. COCK, aged 85 years.
Thursday, April 9, 1840. The business of the Court was opened this morning by the Chairman sentencing the prisoners. The following are the sentences on those prisoners found guilty, whose cases were reported in our last week's paper: -
Philip Rundle, for stealing ternips, belonging to Richard Gyas, of Warbstow, one month's hard labor.
John Chapman, for stealing turnips, belonging to John Cayzer, of Treloggas, in Mawgan, one month's hard labor.
Thomas Richards, for stealing articles of wearing apparel belonging to John M'Kivett, at Redruth, a fortnight's hard labor.
John Searle, for stealing a duck, belonging to William Sweet, of Tywardreath, a fortnight's hard labor.
James Hodge, for stealing reed, belonging to William Angwin of St. Buryan church-town, one month's hard labor.

Yesterday, at Truro, in her 34th year, Cornelia, wife of the Rev. Henry Dudley Ryder, Canon Residentiary of Lichfield, and youngest daughter of the late George Cornish, Esq., of Salcombe-hill, Devon.
At Truro, on Friday last, aged 69 years, Mr. J. Vivian, formerly of Padstow, and for many years master of a vessel of that port.
In Frances-street, Truro, on Friday last, John, son of Mr. Thomas Cuming, jun. confectioner, aged 4 years.
On Tuesday, the 31st ultimo, at Goran Haven, John Philp, aged 79 years; and in two hours afterwards, Susannah, his wife, aged 70 years. The latter had been ill for 20 years, and when the death of her husband, who had been declining for some time, was communicated to her, she said "I shall soon follow." They were united in life, and in death were not divided, both being interred in the same grave.
On Saturday last, at St. Enoder, aged 74 years, Margaret, wife of Mr. Rickard, clerk of that parish.
At Bodmin, on Monday last, at the house of his father, the Rev. T. Bersey, Wesleyan Minister, William Davey Bersey, B.A., late scholar of St. John's College, Cambridge, and second master of the Wesleyan Proprietary Grammar School, Sheffield, aged 25 years. Trusting alone in the merits of Christ, his end was eminently triumphant.
At Bodmin, on Wednesday last, Mr. Charles Hambly, of the Ordnance department, aged 21 years, eldest son of the late Mr. Charles Hambly, of the Commissariat department.
At Penpell, in the parish of Cornelly, on Friday last, Mr. George Miners, aged 61 years, a most respectable yeoman of that parish.
On Tuesday last, at Trevillee, in the parish of St. Teath, Mr. John Rundle, aged 60 years.
At Falmouth, on Monday last, Georgiana, eldest daughter of Mr. P. Guthridge, aged 19 years.
At Chacewater, on Saturday last, Mr. John Harris, aged 54 years.
On Saturday last, at St. Erth, Praze, Mr. Peter Pearce, wheel wright, late of St. Keverne, aged 31? years.
At Ludgvan, on Sunday last, aged 79 years, Catherine Memory.
At St. Just in Penwith, on Sunday last, Mr. Richard Grenfell, who some years since lost his sight by the premature explosion of a hole in a mine while preparing for blasting.
At Penzance, on Tuesday last, greatly respected, Mr. Richard Vinicombe Dennis, grocer, aged 31 years.
On the 7th instant, at Ivy Cottage, near Sidmouth, Devon, after a short illness, Elias, the beloved wife of the Rev. J.W. Etheridge, Wesleyan Minister, aged 33 years.
At Stratton, Mr. J. Sargent, aged 65 years; also, Mary, daughter of Mr. Goddard, police officer, aged 6 years.
On the 13th instant, at New Ross, Ireland, William Pittegrew May, of Padstow, in this county, aged 25 years.
On the 10th inst., at Stonehouse, George Mottley, Esq., late agent of the Royal Naval Hospital at Haslar, in the 74th year of his age.
On the 5th instant, on his passage from Naples to Leghorn, the Rev. Lanat Carpenter, L.L.D., aged 59 years.
On the 15th instant, at his residence in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, Thomas Drummond, Esq,. Under Secretary for Ireland.
Cornwall Infirmary � April 23. - Admitted this day one in-patient, and three out-patients. - Discharged one in-patient relieved. No bed vacant. Vaccinated five since the last report. The days for vaccinating the poor gratuitously, are Wednesdays and Saturdays, at Ten o'clock.
