At Truro, on the 28th ult., Honor, relict of the late Mr. Matthew REYNOLDS, The deceased was for upwards of 40 years a member of the Wesleyan connexion.
On Sunday last, in Kenwyn-street, Truro, of consumption, in the 19th year of his age, Richard, only son of Mr. Richard POAT.
On the 3rd instant, at St. Ives, suddenly, Capt. Richard STEVENS, aged 80 years, the oldest ship-master belonging to that port.
Lately, at Charlestown, Mr. Philip HAMMER, aged 79 years.
On Tuesday last, at Charlestown, Mr. Richard LYLE, aged 67 years.
At Boscarne, Bodmin, on the 27th ult., Mary Elford, only child of the late Mr. John HICKS, aged eight years.

At Launceston, on Friday, the 28th ult., Mr. Samuel TRELEAVEN, many years extensively engaged in the woollen business, aged 82 years.
At Plymouth, on the 25th ult., aged 25 years, Mr. R. REDMORE, late boatman of the coast guard station, at Gorran Haven. The deceased removed to Plymouth, about a month ago, with his only child, for the benefit of their health. The child died about a fortnight before its father.
On Sunday, the 23rd ult., at his residence, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, aged 71 years, Sir Robert Shafto HAWKS, father of the Rev. Wm. HAWKS, Incumbent of Saltash, in this county.

At St. Mawes, on the 3rd instant, Mrs. BLAKE, relict of the late Mr. Wm. Blake, of that place, merchant, aged 74 years.
At St. Mawes, on the 4th inst., Mr. Samuel HOOKER, blacksmith, aged 52 years.
At Falmouth, on the 7th instant, Miss C.C. DUNSTONE, of Mawgan, aged 27 years.
At Coverack, in St. Keverne, last week, Mr. James BARKER, aged 93 years.

At St. Michael's Mount on the 10th instant, aged 30 years, Robert HANCOCK, of St. Keverne, but late of the "Sylvia" revenue cutter, on the Mountelegy-bay station.
At Gray, in the parish of St. Austell, on Wednesday last, Mrs. KINVER, aged 77 years, late of Otterham, in this county.
A few days since, at Stephengelly, near Bodmin, where he had always lived, Mr. Thomas THOMAS, in the 79th year of his age, much regretted by his friends and neighbours. The deceased was well known in the neighbourhood as a poet, and when a youth, began to compose pieces on various portions of the Bible, as well as on local and general affairs, which were neatly written in a quarto volume, which will no doubt be carefully preserved by his family. This book has been borrowed by persons in different parts of the county, as well as in Wales, and is thought a rare production, especially when it is considered that it was nearly all written by night, the author being engaged on the farm by day, and having had no other education than that which farmers afforded their children 50 or 60 years ago, viz., just to read and write. His predilection for verse-making continued throughout his long life. A few months ago, to oblige a friend, he wrote an elegy on "death and the grave;" and last month he expressed his intention to write something on the barbarians who murdered Mr. NORWAY. It is a little remarkable, that up to the last, Mr. Thomas wrote with great ease, and his sight was just as perfect as when he was a young man.

At Helston, on the 13th instant, aged 74 years, after a protracted illness, borne with perfect resignation to the Divine will, and deeply lamented by all relations and friends, Prudence, relict of Jonathan PASSINGHAM, late of Hendũr, in Monmouthshire, and of Bonython, in the county, Esquire.
At Truro, on Tuesday last, Mr. Wm DOWNE, builder, aged 81 years; one of the honourable fraternity of R.A. Masons, and many years principal Tyler of the Provincial Lodge of Cornwall.
At Truro, on Thursday, the 12th instant, Henry, son of Mr. LUGG, aged 17 years.

At Brussels, on Sunday, the 6th instant, after a lingering and most painful illness, John Trevanion Purcell Bettesworth TREVANION, Esq., a gentleman who, to the pretensions of birth and lineage, to brilliant talents, the finest taste, and the most polished manners, united in ardent and enlightened attachment to the cause of civil and religious liberty, of which, for more than thirty years in this county, he had been the able and consistent advocate.
On Tuesday, the 17th instant, in Dorset-Square, London, Rebecca Anne, wife of Capt. Edw. SCOBELL, R.N., late of Poltair House, Madron, and sister of Col. Scobell, of Nancealverne.

At Sticker, St. Mewan, on Tuesday last, Mr. John COUCH, aged 69, upwards of 50 years a member, and many years a class-leader of the Wesleyan Society. He survived his wife but seven weeks.
On Tuesday the 10th instant, after a long illness, which she bore with Christian patience, Mrs. Grace GROSE, of St. Blazey, in the 79th year of her age, having been a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Society 15 years.

The world of science has sustained a heavy loss, in the death, at Bremen, of the celebrated astronomer OLBERS, at the advanced age of 81 years. He was member of most of the European learned societies, and the author of many important contributions to the progress of modern astronomy.
