On the 26th ult., at the residence of her son, Mr. W.H. Jenkins, wine-merchant, Truro, Mary, relict of Mr. N. Jenkins, late of Lostwithiel, aged 87 years.
At St. Mawes, on the 20th ult., aged 69 years, Mrs. Jenkins, wife of H. Jenkins, Esq., of Braganza Lodge.
At St. Mawes, on the 23rd ult., Mrs. Oxenberry, wife of Mr. Michael Oxenberry, aged 71 years.
At Gerrans, on the 28th ult., Mrs. Elizabeth Croxall, aged 89 years.
At Helston, on the 31st ultimo, Mr. John James, tailor, &c., formerly of Penzance, at the advanced age of 89 years.
At Hayle, on Friday last, Mrs. Harvey, wife of Mr. Charles Harvey, aged 67 years.
On Thursday, the 25th ult., Mrs. Ann Casley, relict of the late Capt. Gabriel Casley, of Levant mine.
On Monday, the 22nd ult., at Trewallack, Groan, Mrs. Oliver, aged 67 years.

Lately, Mr. Dingle, father of Mr. Dingle, of Galowras Mill, Goran, aged 81 years.
At St. Austell, on the 20th ultimo, Mrs. C. Smith, widow of the late Lieut. G.B. Smith, R.N., aged 85 years.
At St. Austell, on the 19th ult., aged 37 years, Anna, wife of Mr. W.D. Dodge, draper. Her loss is deeply regretted by a large circle of friends, to whom she had become attached by her affability, and it will be long and severely felt by her husband and four young children. Also, Mary, second daughter of Mr. C. Penrose, builder, aged 8 years.
At Treveans, in the parish of St. Teath, on Friday last, Mr. William Hawken, aged 78 years.
On Tuesday last, at Newton, in the parish of Lawhitton, near Launceston, Mrs. Langman, widow of the late Mr. Nicholas Langman, aged 74 years.
Lately, at Launceston, Mrs. Essery, aged 79 years.
Last week, at Heydens-park, near Stratton, Mary, the wife of Mr. Richard Blake, aged 69 years.
At Sheviock, on the 20th ultimo, Mrs. Helen Harris, aged 88 years.

At Tresillian-bridge, on Tuesday last, Mr. Edward Couch, carpenter, formerly of Truro, aged 81 years.
At Newton, St. Austell, on Wednesday, after a short but painful illness, Mr. Thomas Crapp, yeoman, aged 37 years, leaving a widow and four young children to lament their loss.
On the 14th instant, at Bissoe, Josiah, the son of Capt. W. Verran, of Bissoe Bridge mine, aged 6 years. (We last week announced the death of another of Captain Verran's children.)
On Friday last, at Feock, Mr. Peter Nicholas, aged 60 years.
On Saturday last, at Penwortha, in Perranzabuloe, Mr. Zacebeus Bice, aged 83 years.
On the 8th instant, at Falmouth, Lieut. Forrester, commander of H.M. Packet "Linnet" - a gentleman whose kind disposition and urbane manners endeared him to those who had the pleasure of his acquaintance, by whom, and by his immediate relations and friends, his memory will be long held in remembrance.
On the 10th instant, at Helston, Mr. John Repper, jun. Aged 31 years.
In College Row, Camborne, on Saturday last, after a lingering illness, Mrs. Ann Nicholls, widow, aged 78 years.
At St. Erth Church-town, on Sunday last, the infant of Mr. Thomas Trewheela, aged four years.
At Trefewla, in the parish of Crowan, Mr. Thos. Commins, aged 27 years; respected by a numerous circle of acquaintance.
On Saturday last, at Penzance, Jane Brown, infant daughter of Mr. W.C. Hemmings, druggist, aged 10 months.
At Penzance, on Wednesday last, William, son of Mr. R.V. Davy, aged 4 years.
On the 7th instant, at Penzance, Mrs. Levi, relict of the late Mr. Israel Levi, of the town, aged 83 years.
On the 14th instant, at Stokeclimsland, Lieutenant T. Kelley, aged 44 years.
On the 31st ult., after a short illness, Mr. Francis Lobb, in the 80th year of his age, many years deacon of the congregational church, at Torpoint. He died as he lived, full of faith and hope. A few days after, in the bloom of youth, Margaret, the beloved daughter of Mr. John Scott, R.N., Torpoint.
At Exeter, on the 7th instant, Henry John, eldest son of Mr. H. Besley, printer, South-street, aged 6 years.
At Madely, Shropshire, aged 77 years, Mr. George Michael, late of St. Austell. He was well known in some parts of Cornwall and elsewhere, as the inventor of a peculiar sash window, for which he obtained a patent. He was a member of the Wesleyan body upwards of 60 years. And was a local preacher 44 years. His last illness was marked by those characteristics which adorn the death-bed of a christian, and he quietly fell asleep in full assurance of faith.
On the 23rd of January last, at Mutwall, Ceylon, H.A. Marshall, Esq., Auditor-General of the Island of Ceylon, and eldest son of Mrs. Marshall, of Redinnick House, Penzance, aged 64 years.

At Truro, on Thursday, the 15th instant, Frances, wife of Mr. Trewolla, formerly a respectable boot and shoe-maker in that town, aged 67 years.
On Friday last, at Truro, much respected by numerous friends, Mr. Thomas Pascoe, assistant overseer of St. Mary's parish, aged 68 years.
On Thursday, the 15th inst., at Truro, Susannah, wife of Mr. Reynolds, cabinet-maker, aged 39 years.
Yesterday, at Truro, after a short illness, Mr. James Thomas, gardener, aged 55 years.
On the 16th inst., at Perranzabuloe, Mr. John Hoskin, carpenter, having been nearly 42 years a member of the Methodist society. The deceased, about two years ago, made his own coffin, which he kept concealed in his workshop, and left instructions to his children to place on it as an inscription. - My hope is in Christ.
On Tuesday last, at St. Agnes, aged 73 years, Mr. Wm. Rouse, whose character through life was most exemplary.
On Sunday morning last, at St. Agnes, the infant son of Mr. R. Doble, surgeon, aged four months.
On Wednesday last, at Camborne, Alfred, son of Mr. Wm. May, boot and shoe-maker, aged 3 years.
On the 15th instant, at St. Ives, Mrs. Giddy, late of Bristol, aged 70 years.
At Reawla, in Gwinear, on Wednesday, the 20th inst., after a few hours illness, Mrs. Guage, relict of the late Mr. Uriah Guage, formerly of Oporto, and of Falmouth, aged 72 years, much and deservedly regretted. Also, at Taskis, in the same parish, Mr. William Vincent, aged 46 years, after a protracted illness of upwards of twelve months, leaving a numerous family to lament the loss of an affectionate parent.
At Helston, on the 12th instant, in the 75th year of her age, after a lingering illness, which she bore with christian resignation, Miss Johns, the last surviving sister of the late Major Johns, of that place.
At his father's house, in the parish of Mullion, on the 15th instant, Mr. N. Harris, of Probus.
At St. Austell, on Friday last, aged 76 years, Mrs. Jane Tallack, formerly, and for many years, of the Queen's Head Hotel. Through a long and extremely active life, this highly respected lady quietly and unobtrusively fulfilled the important duties of the wife, the mother, the relative, and mistress, in a remarkably exemplary and generous hearted manner.
At Porthpean, on Tuesday last, Miss Sophia Gummow, aged 39 years.
At Holmbush, on Friday last, Mrs. Thos. Frethy, aged 51 years.
On Sunday last, at Scilly, Mr. Barnard Sherris, formerly light-house keeper of St. Agnes, aged 68 years.
At Edinburgh, Dr. James Browne, for several years Editor of the Mercury; but more widely and permanently known for the many valuable articles be communicated to the Encyclopedia Britannica, particularly on early history, grammar, and etymology, the art of war, and biography. His acquirements as an investigator of Egyptian history and hieroglyphics are also widely known. For about a year, Dr. Browne enjoyed a small pension from Government.

At Truro, on Saturday last, Mr. Whitford, draper, and sub distributer of stamps, aged 79 years; at the time of his decease, Mr. Whitford was the oldest tradesman in Truro, and was universally esteemed and respected.
At Penmount, near Truro, on Sunday, the 25th instant, Mrs. Williams, aged 75 years.
On the 25th instant, of apoplexy, Joseph Coad, aged 69, for twenty-four years the faithful servant of William T[?]eedy, Esq., of Truro-Vean.
At Flushing, on Monday last, esteemed by a large circle of friends, Mrs. Brewer, aged 51 years.
On the 23rd instant, at Killigarth, Miss A. Lee, aged 63 years, sister to Mr. John A. Lee, of Killigarth, and sister to Mr. Charles A. Lee, of Talland, both in the parish of Talland.
On the 24th instant, at Polperro, Thomas, son of Mr. John Parkin, butcher, aged 19 years.
At Stokeclimsland, Lient. Kelly, of the Royal Cornwall Militia.
At Redruth, on the 22nd instant, much respected, Mr. Richard Bolitho, carpenter, aged 85 years; also, on Friday, Mr. Wm. Hocken, carpenter, aged 78 years; and Nanny, widow of the late Mr. Thomas Greenwood, aged 49 years.
At Hayle, on Monday last, Mrs. Michell, relict of the late Mr. John Michell, aged 58 years.
At Goldsithney, in Perranuthnoe, on the 23rd instant, at the house of her son, Capt. John Grose, Mrs. Jane Grose, aged 80 years, relict of the late Capt. Matthew Grose, formerly of Gwinear, and of Dodington in Somerset, much regretted and respected by her numerous family and friends. Her end was peace.
On the 21st instant, in London, aged 80 years, Mrs. Shortman, mother of Mrs. W. Allen, Penzance.
On the 22nd instant, at his residence, Plymouth, Admiral Sir Lawrence Wm. Halsted, G.C.B., at an advanced age, after spending 60 years in his country's service. The deceased was a Lieutenant in Rodney's action with Count de Grasse, in 1782, and distinguished himself on that occasion.
Drowned, on his passage from New Zealand to Sydney, in the month of June, 1840, George, son of the late Proctor Kendall, of Padstow.
