On Monday last, at Truro, aged 37 years, Sarah, the wife of Edward OSLER, Esq., Editor of the Cornwall Gazette.

At Truro, on Friday last, respected by all who knew him, Mr. Bennett ENDEAN, for many years past the driver of the north mail between Falmouth and the Indian Queens, aged 54 years.

At Truro, on Friday last, Mr. George RICHARDS, architect, aged 75 years.

In the County Asylum at Bodmin, on Saturday last, Mr. John PIDWELL, formerly a shoemaker, in Truro.

At Feock, on Wednesday se'nnight, Mr. Henry COLLINS, aged 23 years.

At Devoran, on Saturday last, Mr. Richard COAD, aged 67 years, more than 40 of which he was a consistent member of the Wesleyan Methodist society.
At Kerley, in the parish of Kea, on Sunday last, Mr. Abraham DENNIS, aged 75 years.

On Saturday last, at her lodgings on Green Bank Terrace, Falmouth, Miss C. BULLOCKE, aged 62 years. During her lifetime she was constantly engaged in offices of benevolence and usefulness, and her loss will be severely felt by the indigent poor, and deeply deplored by a large circle of friends.

At Helston, on the 1st instant, Louisa, youngest daughter of the Rev. Charles COLWELL, aged 7 years.

On Tuesday last, at Helston, Mr. Charles PERKINS, aged 34 years.

At Illogan, on Saturday last, Grace, wife of Mr. Richard TREVITHICK, of Pool, aged 34 years.

At Harris Mill, in the parish of Redruth, on Monday last, Mr. Thomas ALLEN, aged 63 years.

At St. Just in Penwith, on Thursday, the 20th ult., Mr. Matthew EDDY, aged 94 years.

At St. Just in Penwith, on Friday last, Mr. James WARREN, the celebrated Cornish wrestler. The deceased was one of the individuals who in 1825, exerted themselves so much in rescuing 540 of the passengers and crew of the "Kent," East Indiaman, when on fire in the Bay of Biscay, he being then on a voyage to Mexico, with some other Cornish miners.

At Hayle, on Sunday last, Mrs. MICHELL, aged 35 years.

Suddenly, at Hayle, on Sunday last, Mr. Henry FAULL, aged 89 years.

At Penzance, on Thursday se'nnight, Wilmot Margaret, second daughter of the late Rev. Thomas ROBYNS, of Marystowe, Devon, aged 21 years.

On the 19th ult., at St. Mary's, Sicilly, aged (?) years, Mr. William FAIRCHILD, farmer.

At Fowey, on Tuesday, Elizabeth, wife of the late John COSSENTINE, Esq., of Trevadda, in the parish of Lanteglos, by Fowey, aged 71 years.

At Lansallos, on the 27th ult., Mr. Henry CORY, aged 66 years.

At Liskeard, on the 27th ult., Mr. Andrew STEPHENS, currier, a widower, leaving a young family.

On the 27th ult., in Bath, from over-exertion in the promotion of a philanthropic object, the Rev. Francis John HEXT, of Tredethy House, Rector of Helland, and one of her Majesty's Justices of the Peace for this county.

On the 6th ult., at Freshwater, Ta(?)e, whither he had gone for the benefit of his health, the Rev. Elias THOMAS, Wesleyan Minister, of Marasion, aged 50 years.

At Graham's Town, Cape of Good Hope, on Friday, the 22nd of October, 1841, Mr. Joseph RICHARDS, formerly of Truro, aged 43 years.

On the 3rd of October last, at Sugar Creek, county of Armstrong, Pennsylvania, North America, Mr. Henry JENNINGS, late of Gwinear, in this county, aged 24 years. He emigrated to that country in April last, and was highly respected in the neighborhood he left, where a numerous circle of relatives and friends lament his untimely fate.

On the 17th ultimo, at Tavistock, highly respected by all who knew him, Mr. Thomas JESSOP, of the firm of T. and P. Jessop, of that place, silversmiths, aged 74 years.


11 FEBRUARY 1842, Friday


On Monday last, in Castle-street, Truro, Miss PLUMMER, aged 76 years.

At Bosvigo Cottage, near Truro, on Friday last, Elizabeth Mary, infant daughter of G. H. ANDREW, Esq., solicitor.

At Truro, on Thursday last, after a short illness, Mr. John CRAGO, aged 70 years, greatly respected by all who knew him.

At St. Austell, on Tuesday last, Elizabeth BAILEY, aged 24 years. She left Torpoint on Monday morning, by Mr. Kellow's stage van, on her road to Penryn, to meet her husband. At Liskeard, she was taken unwell, but a medical man there not thinking much of her indisposition, she re-commenced her journey, and died at St. Austell on the morning following.

At Prussia Cove, near Marazion, Mr. Christopher LUDLOW, commander of the Coast Guard on that station, aged 32 years, loved and respected by all who knew him.

At Penzance, on Thursday se'nnight, Selina, the beloved wife of Mr. S. HIGGS, jun., and third daughter of the late Mr. J. S. BROWN, aged 28 years.

On Friday last, at Penzance, Mrs. Ann SIMPSON.

On Monday last, at St. Just in Penwith, much and deservedly respected and lamented, Mr. Benjamin ANGWIN, aged 42 years.

On Sunday last, at St. Kew church, suddenly, whilst in the act of singing, Mr. Henry HILL, gardener, of Lostwithiel, aged 23 years. the deceased was in the employ of his uncle, Mr. Henry DERRENT, and was highly respected by all who knew him.

At Fowey, on Saturday last, the son of Mr. W. LEE, aged 7 years.

On the 7th instant, at Madron, on the property of H. Lewis STEPHENS, Esq., Mr. John (?sp) SISSON, aged 61 years, for many years Town coachman in the Stephens family of Tregenna Castle, in this county, and 49, Baker-street, London.

On Monday last, at Camelford, Mr. John BROWN, aged 83 years.

At Stratton, aged 67 years, Mr. Thomas RODD, land-lord of the Commercial Inn, much regretted by his family and friends.

At Southsea, on Saturday, the 26th ult., after a lingering illness, the Rev. Henry BATE, son of the late Capt. Bate, Royal Marines, affectionately lamented by his sorrowing sisters, relatives, and friends.

At Marazion, on the 10th instant, Mr. Thomas RICHARDS, aged 25 years.

At Marazion, on the 13th instant, Mrs. Philip JOHNS, aged 31 years.

At Pool, on Friday last, after a few days illness, in the 50th year of his age, G. A. PRYCE, Esq., second son of the late S. V. Pryce, Esq., of Redruth.

At St. Just in Penwith, on Sunday, the 6th instant, Mr. Richard ROBERTS, aged 62 years.

At Penzance, on Friday last, Mrs. LANYON, late of Helston.

At St. Austell, on Sunday last, after a protracted illness, Mr. William HAWKE, aged 19 years.

At Newlyn, on Wednesday last, Mr. John RICHARDS, jun., aged 22 years.

At St. Ives, on Thursday, the 10th inst., Mrs. ANDREWS, wife of Capt. Christopher Andrews, of the schooner "Liberty," aged 24 years.

On the 5th instant, at Trewiddock, St. Germans, Mr. John HANCOCK, aged 36 years.

At Tideford, St. Germans, on the 10th instant, Mrs. LUGLIS, wife of Mr. William Luglis, saddler.

At Pennewin, St. Germans, on the 11th instant, Mrs. Thomasin CARPENTER, aged 76 years.

On the 6th instant, at Budleigh Salterton, aged 70 years, the Rev. Wm. GILPIN, who for 38 years was an acceptable preacher in the Wesleyan Methodist connection.

Suddenly, on Sunday last, in Portland-place West, aged 70 years, Mr. Richard THORN, lately master carpenter in the Gunwharf, Devonport. He had just returned from Eldad chapel, where he had received the sacrament of the lord's supper, and sat down to dinner, when he fell back in his chair and died instantly.

Suddenly, on Sunday, the 6th instant, at his residence, No. 4, Chapel-place, Plymouth, Mr. Robert ELIOTT, aged 65 years, many years a tea dealer and grocer, in extensive business, on the Barbacan. The deceased was seized with apoplexy on Saturday evening, at 7 o'clock, while drinking tea at the house of a friend, and while in the enjoyment of his usual good health and spirits; he was taken home and expired at 12 o'clock on Sunday.

At Penryn, on Friday last, the wife of Mr. PEARCE, bookseller.

At Hayle, on Friday last, Mr. George JONES, shoe-maker, aged 80 years.

At Hayle, on Saturday last, Mr. Henry BURT, ship-wright, aged 55 years.

On Wednesday last, at Hayle, Henry, only son of Mr. George O'NEAL, of H. M. Customs, aged 9 years.

On Tuesday last, at Redinnick House, Penzance, Louisa Augusta, relict of the late Rev. John MARSHALL, rector of Orset, Essex, aged 89 years.

At Roche, on the 19th instant, after a short illness, Mary Jane, second daughter of Capt. Wm. COCK, jun., of Great Wheal Prosper mine, aged 7 years.

On the 14th instant, at her son's house, Sand-hill, Mrs. Elizabeth BENNETT, late of Tregongheeves, St. Austell, at an advanced age.

On Sunday last, at St. Austell, Ellen, daughter of Mr. Charles HAWKE, saddler, aged 3 years.

On Sunday last, at St. Blazey, Mary Courtenay, youngest daughter of Mr. Wm. RUNDLE, of the Porcupine Inn.

At Bodmin, on Friday last, Mrs. F. COUCH, formerly of Roche.

On Wednesday last, at Liskeard, Joseph, son of the late Lieut. EDE, R. N., aged 17 years.

At Halgavern, parish of Tintagel, on Sunday last, Elizabeth, widow of the late William TAYLOR, Esq., aged 82 years.

On the 12th instant, at Saltash, Mrs. GREET, aged 99 years.

On the 12th instant, at Holsworthy, Mr. Thomas SHAPTON, aged 81 years. He was a noted wrestler in his day.

On the 11th ult., at Lancaster, in the 87th year of her age, Mrs. Hannah RAWLINSON, a member of the society of Friends, grandmother to Sir Richard Rawlinson Vyvyan BART., M. P., of Trelowarren, in this county.

On Wednesday, se'nnight, at the residence of W. LINDESAY, Esq., Dublin, Caroline, youngest daughter of Wm. CORNISH, Esq., of Marazion, aged 14 years.
