At Las Santos, Spain, in July last, Mr. Joel MATTHEWS, blacksmith, &c., of Chacewater, aged 41 years. In his sphere of life, the deceased was universally beloved, and a feeling of deep and sincere regret was manifested by all who knew him on receiving the melancholy intelligence of his decease.

At Truro, on Wednesday last, Jane, relict of Samuel TRETHEWIE, Esq., late of Polglaze, in the parish of Creed, aged 69 years. The deceased was a member of the Wesleyan community for upwards of 50 years, and her father and mother frequently received the Rev. John Wesley at their house in the parish of Luxulyan.

At Stratton-place, Falmouth, on the 5th instant, aged 69 years, Mrs. BRITTON, wife of John Britton, Esq., formerly a commander in the packet service.

At the Barton of Golden, in the parish of Probus, on Sunday last, in the 74th year of her age, after a long and painful illness, which she bore with christian fortitude, Sarah Curnow, the beloved wife of Mr. Wm. CARDELL, by whose decease her husband is bereaved of a kind and faithful wife, her children of an endeared and affectionate mother, and the poor of a valuable friend.

At Higher Town, near Truro, on Friday last, Mr. John MARTIN, aged 58 years.

At Helston, on Tuesday last, John BORLASE, Esq., in his 80th year, having been for many years an active Magistrate for the county and that borough, a Deputy-lieutenant of the county, and a Steward of the Stannaries. The upright discharge of all his duties both public and private, during a long life, gained him the esteem and regard of all connected with him, by whom his memory will long be cherished with the warmest feelings of regret.

At Bareppa, in the parish of Camborne, the wife of Mr, Joh ANGOVE, aged 50 years.

At Charlestown, on Friday last, Mr. Joseph HENDRA, aged 29 years; and on Tuesday, Mrs. Betsey NANCHOLAS, aged 72 years.
