At Vivian-terrace, Truro, on Tuesday last, JANE, relict of the late JOHN JAMES, Esq., of that town, aged 73 years.

At Falmouth, on sunday last, LAURA ELIZABETH, infant daughter of MR. T. OLVER, jun., builder.

At St. Just, on Saturday last, MR. HUGH TREMBATH, and MR. JOHN TREZISE, at advanced ages.

At Grampound, on the 23rd ultimo, Miss SECROMBE, aged 44 years. [probably Seccombe, but "R" was definitely used - jm]

At Charlestown, on Friday last, MRS. FANNY SALTER, aged 87 years.

At Pillaton, on Monday last, JOHN TRUSCOTT, aged 85. When six years old, he was bound apprentice to MRS. TILLY, of Pentile Castle, and continued in her service, and in that of JOHN T. CORYTON, Esq., a faithful servant, until two years before his death.

At TUCKINGMILL, on Monday last, the infant daughter of Mr. Wm. CLARK, of the Crown Inn.

At ST. IVES, on Sunday last, Miss Susannah BROAD, aged 10 years.

At PENZANCE, on the 21st instant, Henry, eldest son of Mr. BOYNS, schoolmaster, aged 21 years; and on Sunday last, Mr. Francis HARVEY.

At NEWQUAY, on the 22nd instant, the infant son of Capt. HARVEY, of the schooner "Marshall."

At BODBRANE, in the parish of DULOE, on Friday last, Mr. John GRIGG, aged 49 years.

At ST. STEPHENS by SALTASH, on the second instant, Maria Jemima, second daughter of Wm. BENNETT, Esq., of [Pill?] House, and wife of Mr. Wm. SMITH.

At the St. Jago mines, CUBA, on the 7th ultima, of fever, Capt. Thomas READ, eldest son of Mr. READ, of the Royal Polberron Consols mines, St. AGNES, aged 27 years.

ILFRACOMBE - Mr. EDWARD STEVENS, boat maker, of this place, lost his life on Wednesday, in a humane effort to save that of a lady, MISS BAILEY, of Peterborough, who is residing here. She is an excellent swimmer, and was bathing in deep water, but as the sea was very rough, the waves became too strong for her, and she was in great danger. Mr. Stevens, who was passing, and another person named GOULD, jumped in to her assistance. Gould was thrown against the rocks and had his leg broken, but Stevens received an injury to his head and sank immediately, and the body has not been found. MISS BAILEY has called on his widow to sympathise with her, and has promised that she shall be provided for.

MELANCHOLY AND FATAL ACCIDENT - Last year, Mr. BUNDOCK, a young gentleman of Paignton, left this country for Australia, and safely arrived within sight of that distant land. He then went aloft to reconnoitre the shore, fell from the giddy height, and was taken up a corpse.
