Mr. WHITEHEAD, and others; and from his establishment several young gentlemen emerged who now fill high and honourable offices both in the metropolis and in the country, in the army and navy, and also in the church. His assiduity reaped for him a competency, on which for many years prior to his decease he had retired. For nearly haf a century he held various parochial offices; and for a long period he was the secretary of the Falmouth Church Missionary Association, ---- all his services being gratuitous, and merely engaged in with a view to benefit others. His strict probity was remarkable in every transaction of life, which induced several persons having disputes to apply to him for arbitration; and in no case was he unsuccessful in obtaining satisfactory adjustments. After a short illness, he was removed from this world to the rest remaining for the people of God; and on Wednesday last his remains were committed to the tomb, followed by a very large concourse of sorrowing friends, the masonic brethren attending in due order, with the clergy of Falmouth and Penryn.
