At PENGREEP, in this county, on the 27th ultimo, of an apoplectic seizure, which he
survived only three days, Collan HARVEY, Esq., in the 76th year of his age. During
his long and successful career as a merchant, Mr. Harvey obtained by his industry and
enterprise, an extensive connection with the mines and commerce of this county; and
his reputation for integrity in all his business transactions kept pace with his rapidly
accumulating wealth. As a proof of the high estimation in which he was held by the
wealthier classes, upwards of fifty carriages attended his funeral but not fewer than
ten thousand of the labouring poor paid the last tribute of respect to their kind friend
and benefactor.
At TRURO, on Sunday last, Mr. VINTON, gardener, aged 58 years.
At FALMOUTH, on Monday last, Mr. Joseph EARLE, quay master, and clerk at the
savings bank, aged 73 years.
At CAMBORNE, on the 28th ultimo. Jane, relict of the late Capt. F. VIVIAN, aged
59 years.
At TREGOOSE, in the parish of ST.ERTH, on Friday last, Edwin, youngest son of
Mr. Wm. UREN, aged 12 years.
At TREWINNARD, in the parish of ST. ERTH, on Tuesday last, Elizabeth, third
daughter of Mr. John GOLDSWORTHY, aged 28 years.
At MOUNT JOY, in the parish of COLAN, on the 19th ultimo, the wife of Mr. John
MAY, aged 45 years, and Mr. Henry BENNETTS, aged 24 years; on the 21st, Mr
James JULEFF, innkeeper, aged 52 years; and on the 25th only six day after his wife,
Mr. John MAY aged 48 years.
At BEJOWAN, in the parish of ST. COLUMB MINOR, the wife of Mr, CLEMOW,
aged 27 years.
At ST. COLUMB, Mr. Henry HARVEY, aged 73 years; Mr. William ROBINS, aged
72 years; and Mrs. TREGIDGEN, relict of the late Mr. Thomas TREGIDGEN.
At LISKEARD, on Monday last, Mr. Richard ESTERBROOK, sen., a member of the
Society of Friends.
At LONDON, on Sunday last, after a few days illness, brought on by an intense
application to study, and deeply lamented by a numerous circle of relatives and
friends, Nicholas Duncan, second son of Joseph VIVIAN, Esq., of the Roskear and
other mines, aged 20 years.
At MAIDSTONE, on the 23rd ult., Trevanion Verman OATES, Esq., surgeon of the
Maidstone Infirmary, and second son of Capt. Mark OATES, R. M., formally barrack
master at Pendennis Castle.
At PLYMOUTH, on the 24 ult., Mr. J. BLATCHFORD, aged 45 years.
At Barley House, PLYMOUTH, on the 18th ult., Catherine, only daughter of Col.
ELLIOT, H. E. I. C. S., aged 5 years.
At GATESHEAD, lately, Isaac RYALL, Esq., Deputy Inspector of Hospitals, and
for many years surgeon of the Royal Marines, at PLYMOUTH.
At Ashley Hill, BRISTOL, on the 24th ult., John TANNER, Esq., member of the
Society of Friends, aged 67 years.
At DIEPPE, on the 25th ult., Anna Eleanora Lady PALK, wife of Sir Lawrence

At LISKEARD, on Friday last, Mr. James JAGO, builder, the oldest tradesman in
that town, aged 76 years.

At HELSTON, on Sunday last, John SILVESTER, Esq., aged 67 years. The deceased
gentleman was for many years an alderman and magistrate of the borough of
HELSTON, and has been long known and highly esteemed throughout the country as
a man of sterling integrity and sound judgment; while by those who have the
advantage of a more intimate acquaintance with him, his loss, as a kind neighbour, a
sincere friend, an unvarying lover of peace and justice, will be severely felt. As purser
of Wheal Vor and Great Work mines, his influence amongst miners of the
neighbourhood was very considerable and they "One and All," looked to him as their
adviser and friend. In every capacity indeed, in which he was engaged, he [...ed] the
possession of sound and useful ability, and a constant anxiety to promote the best
interest of all with whom he became connected.
At TRURO, on the 10th instant, Catharine, daughter of Capt. DINGLE, of the
schooner "Ariel," aged 19 years.
At FLUSHING, on Friday last, Mr. John MILLAR, aged 82 years.
At FALMOUTH, on Wednesday last, Mr. Hannibal HOSKING, aged 65 years.

the oldest inhabitant of that village, and father of Mr. LANGFORD merchant.
