At St. Kew, on Monday last, the Rev. John Samuel SCOBELL, vicar of the parish, aged 44 years. The deceased had within a few minutes of his death been attending to his garden, and had just entered his house, when he fell and almost instantly expired. Medical aid was immediately sent for, but before it arrived he had ceased to breathe. The cause of the death was the rupture of a blood vessel.

At her residence, Lemon Street, Truro, on Monday last, Sarah, eldest daughter of the late Rev. John WHITAKER, rector of Ruanlanthorne (?), in this county, aged 66 years.

At Penryn, on Sunday last, Mrs. TELLACK, of Mylor, aged 81 years.

At Falmouth, on Sunday last, Mr. John CHARD, aged 78 years. He has retired to bed about a quarter past nine in his usual health, but had scarcely laid down ere he experienced a difficulty of breathing. He immediately got out and directed the surgeon to be called, but he almost as instantly expired, affording no time for medical aid. The deceased has left a large family of children, grand children, and great grand children, numbering altogether upwards of eighty, to all of whom he was ever a most indulgent parent and relation, and he has departed this life honoured with the respect of all who knew him.

At Whitehall, on Saturday last, Capt. William FRANCIS. We have seldom recorded the death of one more generally respected, or deeply regretted. As a mine-agent Capt, FRANCIS had long been known, and his abilities highly prized, by an extensive connection. At a very early age, some of the most important mines in Cornwall were placed under his management, and the confidence reposed in him was amply justified by his close attention and sound practical judgment. His personal character was marked by a frankness of manner, manly feeling, and high-toned principle. A pulmonary disease had long marked him for the grave; but though cut off in the prime of life, the consolations of religion enabled him to bow to the divine will with perfect composure, and in the joyful assurance of a happy immortality.
