At Newham, near Truro on the 3rd instant, Eliza, fourth daughter of Mr. David HOITE, aged 26 years.

At Helston, on Sunday last, after only two days illness and most deservedly esteemed and lamented by a large circle of relatives and acquaintances, Mr. Hugh CARLYON, bookseller and printer, aged 41 years.

At Helston, on the 24th ult., after a painful illness, Miss Mary LEMON, aged 69 years.

At Mount Hawke, in the parish of St. Agnes, on Friday last, the wife of Mr. Thomas NANKIVELL, carpenter, aged 26 years.

At St. Day, on Saturday last, Mr. John CHEGWIDDEN, aged 26 years.

At Poldice, on Saturday last, Capt. Thomas BAWDEN, aged 59 years, for thirty of which he was the faithful agent of Messrs. Williams, Foster, and Co.

At Cross, in the parish of St. Germans, on the 25th ult., Mrs. Mary RICHARDS, aged 81 years.

In the Hamlet of St. Thomas, Launceston, on the 17th ult., Mr. LYDDON, wife of the Rev. J. W. ROBERTS, Wesleyan Minister. Her life was spent in going about doing good, especially to the sick and the dying, and her end was remarkably peaceful and happy.

At Anderton, near Devonport, on the 22nd ult., Daniel TOM, Est., aged 78 years.

At Plymouth, on the 24th ult., Mrs. Mary KIMBER, eldest daughter of the late Mr. Walter GILES, of St. Austell, aged 61 years.

At Wakefield, on the 26th ult., in the 75th year of his age, and the fifty-third of his ministry, the Rev. William ATHERTON. Mr. Atherton entered the ministry in the year 1797, and was generally considered acceptable; he was stationed in several of the first circuits in the connexion, and President in the year 1846. His final illness was only of short duration.

On board the "Lady Flora," seven days from Calcutta on her voyage to England, on the 27th of June last, Caroline, wife of Major POOLEY, 38th Madras Native Infantry, and youngest daughter of the late John JAMES, Esq., of Truro, aged 37 years.

At Raphiel, in the parish of Lansallos, on Friday last, George COATH, Esq., whose memory will be long cherished by a bereaved widow and son, and by a large circle of sorrowing friends and dependants, as a tender husband, an affectionate father, a faithful friend, and an ever indulgent master. His active services and prompt abilities in public and private business, were alike known and appreciated by the rich and the poor.

At the Isle of Wight, on the 17th instant, Emma Cecilia, daughter of the late Rev. Horace MANN, aged 21 years.

In London, on Friday last, Phoebe, wife of W.R. VIGERS, Esq., At 1 Clifton Street North, Finsbury, London on Monday last, Mr. Edward HARVEY, jun., late of Penzance, aged 30 years.

In Dublin, on the 15th instant, Mr. R. C. CUMING, assistant surveyor of the Ordnance Department, and son of Mr. R. Cuming, builder, of Plymouth, aged 47 years.

At Passo Tempo Mine, Brazils, in June last, while in the act of directing the men as to the future working of the mine, Mr. James CLARK, formerly of St. Austell, aged 64 years. His death was caused by the falling of a quantity of stones which crushed him in a dreadful manner. He was universally esteemed by all who knew him both English and Portuguese.
