Antioch Cemetery Photographed by John Abney Location: Off of Wayne County Road 552 near the border with Butler County. |
I took pictures of all the stones that I could find. I compared my photos to the list from a Wayne county cemetery site and saw that I am missing at least two stones, one for Ella Robinson and another for a Johne (spelled that way on the Wayne Co. Site) Woodruff. I also know of at least one other person buried there, but apparently without a headstone. Her name was Sarah Woodruff and she was the wife of Benjamin. Sarah Woodruff (nee Francis) was born on 7 Feb 1841 in Missouri and died on 10 Apr 1914 in Butler County, Missouri. Her death certificate lists Antioch Cemetery as her burial place. Benj Woodruff’s death certificate lists the following as his birth and death dates: Born: 16 Nov 1834 (Indiana), died: 2 Nov 1910 (Black River Township, Butler County, Missouri) John Abney |
