A Connection to the Jesse James Family as told by Jerry Weakley
Dad (Arvel Weakley) grew up on a farm which a joined the James family farm. When dad was in third grade, Frank James (Jesse's older brother) would give dad a ride to school in an old buckboard wagon. Dad was not yet born while Jesse was still alive. (Jesse was killed in 1882) Many years later, direct descendants of both Jesse and Bob Ford (the man who shot Jesse and killed him) were in Dad's Sunday school class at Broadway Methodist Church--They are both deceased now.
