A group of us who are West Harris (1715-1795) descendants are having our 16th annual genealogy exchange meeting on Saturday, April 22th, 2017 at 10am at the community center in Eldorado, Montgomery County, NC, which is the home place of West Harris and Mary Turner. Many of their descendants still live in the area. We will all share research, visit local sites (churches, cemeteries, etc.) connected with this Harris line. There will be plenty of opportunity to share and copy data and purchase pertinent books, maps, and articles.
We will have copiers, scanners and computers set up, but bring yours if you can to help with the swapping. Definitely bring your files to share. If you have any old family photographs please bring them. We will be able to scan them on site without harm.
Everyone is welcome to attend but it is advisable to sign up right away so we can have an idea as to the amount of books and material we need to bring. There is no charge to attend.
