Am researching the surnames: BALLANTINE, BINGHAM, HEWITT, HOLLAND,  HOWARD (HAYWARD), SCOTT, WEBB, and WHEATON.

I have just returned from a visit to Scotland (beautiful country) where I was very impressed with the help of the town
post office (didn't get the nice lady's name who provided me with a map) and the nice lady in the Town Office. The historian was not available when I was there. The nice folks directed me to the old Scotland Cemetery where I found my Stephen WEBB (served in the RevWar) and his wife Content. Also I found Stephen's parents, Timothy WEBB and Sarah. Also I found one of Stephen's sons: Benjamin, his wife Lucy Bingham, and two daughters (Charlotte and Rebecca). In my excitement over these few discoveries, and being pressed for time, I neglected to search for other WEBB residents of the cemetery. I would appreciate any info on published sources for the cemetery (on both sides of Cemetery Road) as well as any info on living descendants of these WEBB's still in the Windham County area. I have also discovered that the aforementioned were not included in the Hale transcriptions. I have taken digital photographs of the headstones for my records. If someone could contact the appropriate person in charge of the Windham County site and have the cemetery info amended I would appreciate it. Would welcome any correspondence regarding the families listed above. Would really like to know if any family descendants are still living in the Scotland area (or anywhere else).

Willis (Wyllys)

Philader Willis lived in Scotland as a widower with his son William and daughter Emma.  Philander was 80 years old in 1900.  In 1910, only William 59 and his sister Emma 48 were there.  I am trying to find death date and place for Philander plus any family information.
