Fourth Generation
MARY SEMMES

Possibly born Dec. 25, 1841, in Wilkes County, Ga., (or Augusta, Richmond County, Ga.), a daughter of John R. Semmes and Lucy Stone. She died March 26, 1915, in Canton, Miss. She married Nicholas Cromwell Orrick on Jan. 15, 1863, in Canton, Miss.

NOTES: Uncle (dad's brother) may have been A.W. Semmes or is this dad's father? This information is obtained from the will of John R. Semmes in Wilkes County, Ga., made Feb. 18, 1854. It also appears that John R. Semmes possibly died in 1868 as on Oct. 31 of that year a citation notice to Andrew Semmes (of Lake Charles P.O., Colissa Parish, La.) was published in the American Citizen newspaper of Canton, Miss., regarding the sale of real estate of John R.

CATHERINE ELIZA ANDERSON

Born Jan. 18, 1850, in Kirkwood, Miss., a daughter of Edward H. Anderson Jr. and Elizabeth E. "Mattie" Greer. She married William Baxter Stinson Sr. on Nov. 13, 1867, in Canton, Miss. Catherine died March 13, 1923, in Jackson, Miss.

Fifth Generation
JOHN ROBERTSON SEMMES

Born Aug. 27, 1817, in Wilkes County, Ga., a son of Andrew Green Semmes (1781-1833) and Mary Robertson (1788-1838). He died in Wilkes County, Ga., on Nov. 6, 1864. On Oct. 24, 1839, he married Lucy Siophia Stone in Washington, Wilkes County, Ga.

Fifth Generation
MARY JOHNSON

Mary was the daughter of Peter Johnson. She married Cromwell Orrick on Jan. 25, 1816. She died Nov. 24, 1841.

Sixth Generation
ANDREW GREEN SEMMES

Born in 1781, a son of Thomas Semmes (c.1754-1824) and Mary Ann Ratcliff (c.1756-before 1792). He died in 1833.

Seventh Generation
HANNAH CROMWELL

Hannah was born April 1, 1729, in St. Paul's Parish, Baltimore County, Maryland, a daughter of John Cromwell and Hannah Rattenburg. She died Dec. 2, 1762. On May 1, 1749, she married Nicholas Orrick.
