Rites are held for Mrs. Martha Orrick
Sudden Illness Claimed Beloved Canton Woman Monday

Services were conducted by Rev. C.A. Pharr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Tuesday afternoon from the family residence for Mrs. Martha Stinson Orrick. Mrs. Orrick died at her home at 9 o'clock Monday morning, Sept. 27, following a short illness.

Mrs. Orrick was a member of the Presbyterian church. She was the widow of the late A.P. Orrick, who was for many years engaged in the hardware business in Canton.

Mrs. Orrick leaves two sons, A.P. Orrick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and N.C. Orrick of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Kate Johnson of Canton, Miss., Mrs. T.C. Holliday of Jackson, Miss., Mrs. W.D. Lowe of Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. A.S. Gardner of Yazoo City, Miss.

Interment was in the Canton Cemetery. The casket bearers were R.B. Dow Sr., O.D. Crawford, Guy Collins, R.H. Holmes Jr., John Cresap and W. J. Mosby Jr.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Canton Undertaking Company.
