This web site is dedicated to the family of John Adam Witmeyer, Sr. of Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It includes a family tree of the Witmeyer family dating back to the 1600's.

The Witmeyer family emigrated from Leiman, Germany to the American colonies in 1764. Eberhard Witmeyer arrived in the Port of Philadelphia with his wife and seven children, and soon after, settled in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He and his son Peter both served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Peter later settled in Lebanon County. Many of his descendants stayed there, and many still live there today. His descendants span eight generations of Americans, who have become farmers, baseball players, schoolteachers, and scientists.
