Know all men by these presents that we Jesse Turner, Jesse Miller and Arthur Hicks
are held and firmly bound until James S Conway, Governor of the State of Arkansas
and his successors in office in the amount [?] of eight hundred dollars good and
lawful money of this state for the payment of which we [...] truly to be made us bind
ourselves, our heirs executors and administrators firmly and lawfully pledging [?] by these
presents signed with our hands sealed with our seal this the 17th day of April 1838.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above [...] Jesse Turner
administrator de bonis non of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and [...]
of William Whitson deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory
of all and singular the goods, chattels, rights and credits of the said deceased
which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of him the said
Jesse Turner or into the hands or possession of any person for him and the same
so made do return and exhibit in the office of the Clerk of the County Court for the
County of Franklin on or before the 17th day of June next, and all and singular
the goods, and chattels rights and credits of the deceased which shall

To all who shall see these presents greeting. Know ye that Jesse Turner having filed bond
and security in the office of the Clerk of the County Court of Franklin County in the State
of Arkansas with good and sufficient security in the penal sun of eight hundred dollars
good and lawful money for the [...] performance of his duties as administrator de bonis non
of the estate of William Whitson deceased. He is therefore consituted and approved administrator
de bonis non of the estate of William Whitson deceased with authority to take into possession
the goods and chattels, monies, credits and effects belonging to said estate - to collect all
demands due said estate and to [...] the debts of said deceased as far as the assets which shall
come to his hands will authorize and to do all other matters and things which by law he as
administrator as aforesaid shall or may be authorized to do.

[Request to Sell Real Estate]
The petition of Jesse Turner administrator de bonis non of the estate of William Whitson deceased
is respectully sheweth [?] that his intestate William Whitson deceased, died seized and possessed
and was the true owner of the following described tract or parcel of land to wit: The west half
of the NorthEast quarter of Section Six in Township Ten North of Range Twenty Eight west
containing forty acres according to the public survey situate lying and being in the County of
Franklin. Your petitioner further sheweth that according to the best estimate he has been able to make
that the estate of his said intestate in wholly insolvent and that the amount of assets realized
is as yet inter[...] inconsiderable and not amounting to more than twenty dollars and that the
amount to be realized from the personal effects of his said intestate will not so [...] is at present
of a kind amount to more than four hundred dollars or thereabouts should [...] recovering the same.
Your petitioner further sheweth that he is advised and believes that the debts of his said intestate
amount to some six or seven hundred dollars and probably much more but that he cannot with [...]
accuracy the amount of debts existing in full form and unsatisfied against his intestate from the
circumstances of his not having [...] with certainty that amount of the debts of the said intestate

Ordered that D W Bunch, D D Bourland and John Simpson be appointed commissioners to settle and
adjust the unsettled accounts between Charles Whitson surviving partner of the late firm of
William and Charles Whitson and Jesse Turner administrator de bonis non of William Whitson
deceased and report to the next term of this Court and that a copy of this order be served on
each of the above commissioners
