.i Anne Humphrey she married (1) William Palmes (2) Rev. John Miles

Remark: In the discussion of Anne Humphrey and her husband William Palmes, it’s noted that “they had one daughter, Susannah (wife of Samuel Avery).” I think the common wisdom is that only Susannah has living descendants, but William and Anne Palmes actually had four children :
-Jonathan Palmes
-Elizabeth Palmes, m.Griffin Edwards
-Susannah Palmes, m. Samuel Avery
-Anne Palmes, m.Nicholas Lang
Sources are A. NEHGR, 31:307-08 (contemporary statement that Anne Palmes brought a son and three daughters with her when she returned to New England from Ireland; also that “Mrs.” Susannah Palmes married Samuel Avery, and that “Mrs” Anne Palmes married Nicholas Lang (both marriages at Swansea, Mass). B NEHGR 99:240 C Records and Files of the Essex County (Mass.) Quarterly Courts 8:137-38; 174 D Savage Genealogical Dictionary (entry for Griffin Edwards mentions that he “calls, in a deed, Ann , widow of Rev. John Myles, who was sole heir of John Humphrey, his mother-in-law”).
