.i John Skipwith, Esq., of South Ormsby married Eleanor Kingston, daughter and heiress of John Kingston, of Great Grimsby, Lincolnshire.

Remark : Memorial of the Holles Family, 1493-1656 (Camden, 3rd series, vol 55), p.209-10, states that the wife of John Kingston, and mother of Eleanor (Kingston) Skipwith, was named Eden of Hedon Page 210 gives the date of the indenture of marriage between John Skipwith and Eleanor Kingston as 30 January. 27 Henry VIII or 30 January 37 Henry VIII (both dates are mentioned).

.ii Diana Skipwith. She married before 1652 Major Edward Dale. They had three daughters, Katherine (wife of Capt. Thomas Carter), Mary (wife of Daniel Harrison and Humphrey Jones), and Elizabeth (wife of William Rogers).

Remark : It does not indicate that the supposed marriage date of before 1652 for Diana Skipwith and Edward Dale is simply a guess, which happens to conveniently fit the birth date of the daughter Katherine. In contract, Gary Boyd Roberts in RD600 states clearly that Katherines maternity has been disputed. Richardsons certainty in this matter is especially interesting, since he cites as one of his sources Charles Wards TAG article of 2000 without noting that Richardson himself in 2001 characterized that article as flawed.
