12.Brian Stapleton was slain testate at the Battle of Flodden Field 16 September 1518.
Remark : This is in fact the usually documented death date for this Sir Brian, but it is certainly not the date of the battle of Flodden, which is well known to be 9 September 1513. This Sir Brian is usually said to have fought at Flodden, but he didn�t die there.
