Research at this time has traced this Lowry/Lowery branch back to 1780 and Greenville South Carolina.  David Lowry and Sarah Crumpton migrated from South Carolina , through Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio before settling in Shelby County Alabama prior to 1820. There are many Lowery's in the surrounding counties as well as all over Alabama and the USA.
