Researching: Cameron, Crumpton, Beck, Mathis, Lowery, Lowry, Lynch, Smith, and Connections

Welcome! You are visitor #

The Purpose of this Web Site is to bring together researchers that are connected to or have an interest in these Families. We will be glad to exchange Data and Information with concerned parties. Please contact me if you see a person or family group that may have a connection with your research efforts.

This Research effort has been centered on the "Lowery's" that appear to have entered the state of Alabama in the early 1800's. At this time the earlist settler's appear to be David and Sarah Lowry, who were located in Shelby County Alabama in the 1820 Census report. Two of his sons and a daughter were also located in this county. Their son, Thomas Lowery and his wife Martha Cameron, lived in Shelbly and Coosa county Alabama. Andrew Madison Lowery, the son of Thomas and Martha, migrated to Macon Country Alabama; where he married Kesiah Jane Mathis, my Great Grandmother. This tree of the Lowery's migrated to Covington County Alabama, to Georgia during the Civil War, and to Escambia County Alabama. My Grandfather and my father raised their families in Atmore, Escambia County, Alabama. Many of the Mathis and Becks (my Grandmother) migrated to Atmore and surrounding areas.

Hopefully, we can now proceed to retrace the major migration path of our Ancestors. Back through South Carolina and North Carolina, and on to Virginia. And from Virginia, the path to Scotland.

Click on the Coat Of Arms at top of page to see a photo of the "Lowery Boys and their Father".

Go to the "Lowery ONLY Genealogy site" for more detailed informaton on this branch of the Lowry / Lowery family. Have a nice day.
