ABRAHAM WOMACK. (1704?-d. aft 1747 VA) He was of colonial
Goochland Co. and was a brother to William Womack of the same county. The
name is from a probable ancestor who was in Virginia as early as 1679 as
indicated by this court record of Henrico Co.:
"Att a Court holden att Varina for the County of Henrico the
second day of June Anno Dom 1679," the two men were among "ye several
fortye Tythables ordered by this Wor'll [worshipfull?] Court to fitt out men
horse armes &c. according to act, viz..." Mr. Ben Hatcher was
ordered to give notice to the list which contained the name of the Abrah
Womecke, who had two tithables.
