Cephas & Stuart ( Bruce )Morgan

Cephas Morgan was born November 3, 1886 in Powesheik County, Iowa. He came to Correctionville, Iowa, with his parents where he grew up. His parents were Martin and Isabel ( Rice ) Morgan. The couple had seven boys and on daughter, who died in infancy.
Stuart ( Bruce ) Morgan was born Janurary 1, 1886, at Odebolt, Iowa. her parents were Andrew and Margaret ( McQuistan ) Bruce. The Bruces had four children. Stuart came to Woodbury County at the age of thirteen years when her father homesteaded at a farm north of Moville.
Cephas and Stuart were married at her parents' home in 1908. They lived in Moville for awhile where Cephas worked for Ray Green on the dray. They later moved to a farm where they farmed in Woodbury County for many years. The couple had three children. Andrew, born in 1909, married Ruby Moser in 1933 and they had three sons, Obie, born 1911 married Harold Thompson in 1931 and they had four children and Glen, born 1914, married Rachel Robinson in 1933 and they had three daughters.
Cephas and Stuart celebrated their fifieth annivery in 1958.
They are both buried in Arlington Cemetery in Moville, Iowa.
