We the undersigned overseers of the poor of the City of Hudson do certify that Sarah Peterson a Negro Woman slave of Elisha Williams of this City appears to be under the age of forty five years and of sufficient ability to provide for her self and he is williand and desirous to manument her - Witness our hands this 15 Sep 1810. Gayer Gardner & Bornd Tobey, Overseers of the poor. City of Hudson. I Elisha Williams do hereby manumit and set free my negro Woman Slave named Sarah Peterson, s he having been Certified this day by the overseers of the poor of Hudson to be under the age of 45 years & sussiain ability to maintain and provide for herself Witness my hand at Hudson this 15 Sep 1810 . Woolsey of Athens, Greene Co, NY TO William Sheldon & Orrin Wakeman of town of North East, Dutchess Co, NY whereas Truman Eggleston mortgaged on 20 Mar 1849 unto Hugh McClellan which mortgage was sold to Margaret P. H. Woolsey and Frances S. Woolsey and the said Margaret P. H. Woolsey having since deceased he [sic] executors David Peck and S. Hamilton Nichols have sold her interest in said mortgage to said Francis S.
