20 Oct 1718.    Henry Beekman of Kingston, Ulster Co, NY, et al TO Francis Keler of Rimebeek, Dutchess Co, NY for ten shillings - tract of land at Rimebeek Eastward there from Hudson River 98 acres plus yearly rent of two couple of live fat hens, one peck and a half of good merchantable winter wheat for every acres of the said land computed to 35 bushels of wheat (this sounds like a lease, but Keler has right to sell - www hasn't studied this in depth.) recorded 23 Feb 1747/8. Edward Whitaker was justice of peace.

1731.    Francis Hagerman and wife Antie for 280 pounds sold to Richard Woolsey of Amenia, Dutchess County, 332 acres. [www has not found this yet. Dutchess County Deeds Index doesn't begin un 1737, and there is a Book 1 that has pre-1737 deeds (& wills) in it. www searched Book 1 page by page but did not find this particular deed.] The following abstract mentions this 1731 deed.

1754.      Daniel and Abraham Gomez sold to Richard Woolsey 800 acres on W side of Hudson River in Highland, Ulster County.
In 1754 Richard Woolsey bought eight hundred acres of land from Daniel and Abraham Gomez, on the west side of the Hudson River in the precinct o f Highland, Ulster County, and in 1770 we notice his transfer of two hundred and eleven acres in Newburgh precinct to Thomas Knowlton [this sale appears to have been by his son, Richard, Jr. and not the father]. In 1760 Richard conveyed other land to his sons, Benjamin and John, which John left to his son Henry.

5 Mar 1782.     Between Richard Woolsey of Amenia, Dutchess Co, NY and Mary his wife TO Samson Woolsey, their son of the same place, Richard Woolsey by and for an Consideration and Advise and the good liking of Mary his wife and for an consideration of love and affection sold to Samson Woolsey, tract of land I purchased from Francis Hagerman and Antie his wife for 280 pounds, commonly known and called the name of the Lower nine Partners and out of the great Lot No. thirty which said lot being divided into nine small lots from lot No. one to Lot No. nine and out of these small lots the lot no. four (bounds given) [signed] Mary Woolsey.
Signed in the presence of Sammons Woolsey – Silvanus Cornel. On the 23 Apr 1784 Mary Woolsey appeared before Zephaniah Platt Esqr Judge of the Court of Common pleas who swore she saw Richard Woolsey seal the same.

This Indenture made this thirteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seven BETWEEN RICHARD WOOLSEY of the town of Stillwater County of Saratoga and State of New York and JOHN P. KELOR and LEAH his wife of the Town of Northeast in the County of Dutchess and State aforesaid of the first part and JOHN WOOLSEY and RICHARD WOOLSEY BOTH OF THE Town of Amenia in Dutchess County and State of New York of the second part. WITNEFSETH that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and sixty six dollars and sixty six cents to them in hand paid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have have [sic] granted, bargained, sold, remised, released and forever quit claimed, and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain, sell, remise, release and forever quitclaim to the said party of the second part, their heirs and afsigns forever, All such right, title, interest, claim or demand either in law or equity consisting of TWO EQUAL NINTH PARTS ) in or to all that certain mefsuage tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the Town of Amenia and is described and bounded as follows. That is to say being a part of the great lot No. thirty in the general division of the great nine partners distinguished by the name of lot No. four in in [sic] the subdivision of the said great lot beginning at the southeast corner of lot number three of the said subdivision at a stake and heap of stones, thence running east one degree and thirty minutes north, as the magnetical needle pointed in the year of our Lord one thousand and seven hundred and sixty one thirty five chains to a white oak tree marked on three sides thence north one hundred and thirty five chains to the great lot number thirty one, then west one degree and thirty minutes south thirty five chains thence south one hundred and thirty five chains to the place of beginning containing three hundred and thirty two acres of land more or lefs by any ways or means whatsoever, so that they the said party of the first part their heirs and afsigns or any person or persons acting by from or under them or any of them shall not from henceforth forever hereafter have claim challing or demand any estate right, title or interest in or to the said granted and released premises or any part or parcel thereof but from all and every action and actions of right title estate interest claims of in or to the [said premises? State of New York FS on the fourteenth of March eighteen hundred and seven before me John Brush, Master in Chancery personally came Richard Woolsey, John P. Keler and Leah his wife. I have satisfactory evidence that they are the grantors to the within deed by the oath of John B. Wheeler of Pawlings in the County of Dutchess farmer a person known to me who swore before me that he knows them and that they are such persons. They severally acknowledged that they had executed the same. The said Leah on being by me privately examined apart from her husband acknowledged to have executed it freely without fear or compulsion of her said husband and I find no material alterations [attentions?] therein other than those noted.
