In the name of God, Amen, 16 Aug 1751 I, John Woolsey, Sr., of Bedford, in Westchester County, I direct all debts and funeral charges to be paid. I leave to my wife Sarah, 60 pounds. My farm is to be sold, and all money and book debts and bonds to be put at interest for my son Gilbert, "and the interest to be expended upon him to bring him up to learning, and when he leaves off learning, he is to have the interest till he is of age". If he dies under age, then the estate is to go to my brothers, William, Jonathan, and Richard Woolsey. My brother William and my wife Sarah are to sell all lands, and I make them executors. Witnesses, Samuel Miller, Peter Holmes, Lewis McDonald. Mem.- I leave my wife a horse, saddle and bridle, and a feather bed. Proved, 27 Nov 1751.

Know all men by these presents that I Deborah Woolsey of the town of Philips in the County of Putnam and state of New York being in ill health but of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time heretofore made And as to my wordly state and all property real personal or mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I give devise bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to Wit: First my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as by him be found convenient SECOND I give devise and bequeath to Sarah Horton wife of E. J. Horton of Peekskill Westchester County Ny Eunice Townsend wife of Cyrus Townsend of the town of Kent Putnam Co, NY Clark S. Penny of the town of South East in said county of Putnam, NY and my niece Mary Raymond trancient person traveling from one place to another all the rest and remainder of my estate real personal or mixed to be equally divided between the above persons share and share alike to them and their heirs forever Lastly I do nominate and appoint my brother Alexander Penny of the town of Southeast, county of Putnam, NY to be sole executor to this my last will and Testament In testimony whereof I the said Deborah Woolsey have to this my last will and testament contained on one sheet of paper subscribe d my name and affixed my seal this 13 day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and seventy two. Whereas on 13 Aug 1872, I, Deborah Woolsey do hereby make and publish this codicil to my said will. I give and devise the house and lot situated in the village of Peekskill, NY conveyed to me by Sarah D. Horton 1 Apr 1878 to the said Sarah D. Horton to have use and enjoy the same for and during her natural life and at and upon her death I give & devise said house and lot in fee as tenants in common to the five younger children of said Sarah D. Horton to Wit: Anna Woolsey Sela Southard, Charles D., Ezra J., JR. & Clarence F. in all other respects I ratify and confirm the foregoing will in Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sel this 27th day of April 1878. Whereas on 27 Arp 1878 I made a codicil to my will executed 12 Aug 1872 I Deborah Woolsey on account of personal care and several Supervision of my Estate given by my niece Sarah D. Horton I do hereby make publish and declare this a second codicil to said will. I hereby give devise and bequeath to my niece Sarah D. Horton the house and lot of land situated in the village of Cold Spring, NY where I now reside together with all the furniture silver plate jewelry and person property contained in said house in all other respects I hereby ratify and confirm said will and the codicil thereto In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14 day of April in the one thousand Eight hundred and seventy nine - Deborah Woolsey - Signed sealed published and declared by said testatrix as and for a second codicil to her last will and testament in presence of us who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each ;other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses. Whereas I Deborah Woolsey did make my last will and testament and two codicils hereto annexed & whereas my brother who was in and by said will appointed executor has since the making of the latter codicil died and my niece Sarah D. Horton has contained to exercise a tender care of me now I make this further codicil to my said will and desire that the same may be annexed thereto First I give and bequeath to my said niece all of the m;oney & securities of every nature & description which shall be in my savings or other banks at the time of my; death Second I appoint Ezra J. Horton of Peekskill sole executor of my said will in Witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of November 1880. 19 Mar 1811. John Van Wart of Greenburgh, being infirm in body but of sound mind � my soul I commend into the hands of my Almighty Father under the hope of his mercy and favour, my body I resign unto my mother earth (under the faith of a resurrection) to be buried in a Christian manner etc that funeral expenses and all my lawful debts be paid � My farm at Greenburgh whereon I now live I divide (in part) . . . The FIRST DIVISION to consist of the two first fields beginning at Hudson River as the fence now stands running from William Hunts line to the line of Jasper Woolsey together with the houses Mills barn and out houses now leased to William & Isaac Kibbee (also that part of my farm lying east of the turnpike road and South of the lane that leads back on the farm as it now runs to the back woods () Excepting the back meadow so called and Excepting also the two back cleared fields as they are now fenced) also to be included in said first division that part of the cleared swamp that lies North of said lane and bounded southerly by the lane, Westerly by the third ditch (counting from the West) northerly by William Hunts land and easterly by the back meadow which piece of land in a former division of the farm between William, Van Wart, Caleb Archer and myself belonged to them the said William & Caleb.
All this first division of my farm and the one equal undivided half part of the wood land (as is hereinafter mentioned) I give and bequeath unto my son Isaac Van Wart for and during his natural life and then to his children being his lawful heirs forever nevertheless that if my said son Isaac should die leaving no lawful issue then all this property above mentioned to revert back to my Estate and to be equally divided among my lawful heirs any thing herein contained to the contrary not withstanding.
The SECOND DIVISION of my farm to consist of the following lands all that part that lies between the two first fields at Hudson River mentioned as above and the turnpike road (reserving for the use of both my sons the lane through the land as it now runs) together with the house barn cider Mill and out houses also the land that lies to the east of the turnpike and north of the lane above mentioned as far back as the third ditch in the cleared part of the swamp where the line formerly was between William Van Wart Caleb Archer and myself (Excepting the other part of the cleared swamp mentioned in the First Division) also the back meadow so called and the two back fields (as excepted in the first division) as they are now fenced.
All this second division of my arm and the one equal undivided half part of the wood land (as is hereinafter mentioned) I give and bequeath unto my son Clinton Van Wart when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years for and during his natural life and then to his children etc
The other part of my farm containing the back woods (so called) the swamp that is in the woods and a small piece of low land that lies the North side of the back meadow I give and bequeath Jointly in an undivided state to my said two sons Isaac and Clinton etc
I appoint Samuel Requa, William Van Wart & William Hunt to make the division etc that part of my farm that I have given to Clinton when he comes of age the use and occupancy thereof until that time I give and bequeath unto my loving wife and to my son Clinten my meaning is for an encouragement to him that he shall have a part of what the farm makes immediately after my decease until he comes in the full possession � also my stock of Cattle and farming utensils of all kinds � I bequeath unto my loving wife Mary to be kept on the part of the farm that I have given to Clinton to be for her use and the use of the family and it is my Will that my widow do keep our two Grand Daughters Emeline and Maria with her during her widowhood or until they come to eighteen years of age and that she maintain Clothe and Educate them as a part of her family out of my Estate and at a suitable age that she place them with some Discreet Mistress to learn a trade generally followed by Women.
� Also I give and bequeath unto my wife all my household furniture with my silver plate etc - I give unto my son Nathaniel Van Wart my sloop Northern Liberty with all her appurtenances likewise a lott of ground in the City of New York near the New Market lying on the corner of Washington & Spring streets with a house to be built on it out of my Estate 25 feet Brick front by 32 feet in rear two stories high with a cellar Ketchen under and to be well finished (which if it please God I live I expect to build this summer coming etc
I give unto my Grand daughter Emeline Ascough all the furniture her mother left now in my possession also $2500 when she comes of age � I give unto my Grand daughter Maria Van Wart $2500 etc � I give unto my daughter-in-law Amelia Van Wart $250 etc and it is my desire that Amelia be considered as part of my family etc . . . My lot at Tarrytown to be sold etc, my Negro boy Jack I give to my son Clinton for ever, my Negro wench Lil I give to my wife and to be at her disposal to do with as she pleases � surpluss money of my Estate (if any) I give unto my three sons Nathaniel, Isaac and Clinton equally etc.

William Van Wart of Town of Greenburgh, Westchester Co, NY � debts to be paid � to my daughter Rachel or Locky Van Wart my house and lot where I now live at Tarrytown, also my bureau, two bed & bedding one table a half dozen of my best chairs my best looking glass & $125 � It may be expected I should make some provision for my wife, But from circumstances which I shall Explain I hope I shall be excused by her and our friends When I married my present wife she had a Considerable property held by her in Fee simple which by our marriage I Considered vested in me, but as she had Children I Considered it right that her Children should have her property I therefore never laid any Claim to it, and some years ago she with my consent sold the farm and divided about 900 pounds among her children reserving $1200 secured to be paid to Thomas Boyce Esqr for her use, which it was agreed upon that while we Lived the Interest should be received and made use of in the support of our Family. She at that time agreed she would not demand on my Estate after my decease, and that my Children should (if I so directed) be the Sole Benefiters of my Estate, this is my present desire that any of her property she brought should be given her by my Executors, all the Beds she brought with her she has given away to her Children. I never the less think it right she should have the Bed and Bedding we have used, which I hereby Give to her and her heirs forever. All the residue of my estate shall be divided into six Equal Shares, three of which I give Equally to my three daughters Ann, Betsey and Leana. One of the said shares I give to my daughter Catharine � but should she outlive her husband Abraham Acker . ..
