I'm sure we're talking about the same Henry and Mary Woolsey. They had an older child, Elizabeth, that was born abt. 1823. She married Joseph Goodman in White County 12/10/1840. The only thing is that my information shows that Henry died before 1850. I believe it was 1849. The family is in the 1850 census and shows Mary to be the head of household. Elizabeth, of course, is not there but Joseph, Peter, Harriett, James, Christopher, and Henry (jr) are.

CORR: 2006 March 23 from Wilford Whitaker:
TAX: Posted by Joyce 4 Nov 2002. "Wilford, .... I also may have some info that may help to find Henry's Father. You know that Chastain's were in Hardin County, Kentucky in 1810. Peter Chastain got a land grant there in 1816 (I have it) for 150 acres on Green river, then they divided the counties up to make Hart Co, before 1820 because Peter is in Hart Co, in 1820 & I don't think he moved, only the boundary lines. Remember I said he had 150 acres? Well, by 1820 (tax list) as there is no census, it was burned due to a courthouse fire, Peter only has 75 acres now (1820) & right next door is Joseph Woolsey, he has 75 acres also, kinda strange isn't it? Also that would be a good way for Mary [Chastain] to meet Henery, if Joseph is Henery's father????? But it sounds like it may be worth checkin out, since Henry & Mary named their first boy "Joseph". Did I blow your mind???? Ha Ha Joyce.
