p. 65.        Jasper Griffing, of Southold, Suffolk Co. Inventory 25 Jul 1718 appraised at Southold by Benjamin Woolsey, Benjamin More and Samuel Hutchinson, of Southold, exhibited 28 Aug 1718 by Edward & Robert Griffing, sons and administrators etc.

p. 86.        Mrs. Sarah Lawrence of Jamaica, Queens Co. Inventory 2 Oct 1697 taken by Wait Smith, Nathaniell Denton and Rebeccah Woolsey. Some of the items listed were a silver tobacco-stopper, a silk scarf with silver clasps, a “Negro or Mallata” named Jenney. At Capt. Woolsey's were such items as a cow, a plush saddle, a great pewter pot, a black mantle and an old red “ryding hood.”

p. 174.        Whitehead, Daniel, of Newtown, Queens Co, Inventory 13 Nov 1668, taken by constable & overseers of Newtown. Among items listed were the house, with orchard, upland and meadow; gifts of livestock to the son Daniel [confirmed by the oath of Thomas Stevens], a cow to his son Adam, it having been given to Adam by his grandfather Ireland and a mare and steers to his son Jonathan.
p. 174. Whitehead, Major Daniel, of Jamaica, Queens Co, Inventory [n.d. but must be 1704 as the will was proved on 30 Oct 1704.] The amount of the estate was 235 pounds 3 shillings 7 pence. Among items listed were 2 brass candlesticks, a small brass candlestick, a warming pan, a large Bible [1 pound] a mare at Thomas ;Betts, a tankard a porringer, 5 spoons and 1 tumbler and cash from various persons, i.e. John Nelson of Hempstead Harbor or John Waring, of Cold Spring.
p. 67.        Hallett, William, Jr. of Newtown, Queens Co, gentleman, who was murdered, together with his wife and five children on 24 Jan 1707/08 by two of his slaves – Inventory 12 Apr 1708 by S. Clowes & ;P. Berrien exhibited 1 Jun 1708 by William Hallett, Sr. admin. Personal estate 232 pounds 18 shillings ½ pence. Among items listed were 3 hives of bees, 24 English books, a gold ring, a gun, a sword, and a silver tankard and 7 silver spoons.
p. 67.        Hallett, Moses, of Newtown, Queens Co, yeoman, Inventory 6 Nov 1708, by S. Clowes & Peter Berrien & exhibited 2 Jul 1709 by Mary Hallet, widow & adminx . Amount of estate was 179 pounds, 9 shillings 9 pence. An Indian man was valued at 40 pounds.
p. 41.        Denton, Samuel of Hempstead, Queens Co, yeoman – renun 20 Mar 1713/14 of Mary Denton in favor of his sons Samuel & Jonas Denton. Inventory 15 Mar 1713/14 by Obadiah Volentine & James Searing. Chief item; as a Negro boy & girl [90 pounds] and a Negro man as “worth nothing”. Account of Samuel & Jonas Denton adminors' records following payments to heirs of the dec'd: To Mary Denton [widow of dec'd], to Peter Smith, son of Mary Ellison, dec'd who was a dau, to Joseph Robinson & Jane his wife, a dau, to Jonathan Seaman :& Elizabeth his wife, a dau, to Abraham Dentonk, son of the intestate, to James Denton, son of intestate, to Thomas Beadwell & Hannah his wife a dau, to Robert Mitchell & Phoebe his wife, a dau, to Ezekiel Sm;ith & Martha his wife, a dau & to Jonas Denton, a son of the intestate.
