12 Aug 1841.        Eleazer G. Woolsey, of Newburgh, Orange Co, NY Pro: 21 Dec 1841 - being highly infirm in health but of sound mind & memory. Pay just debts. To beloved wife Maria all house hold furniture. Exotrx to sell any or all Real Estate money received out at interest to support my wife and educate my children – to each of children at 21 years $2000 if condition of said estate justifies – all children equal – benefits my wife receives in lieu of her Dower – business & real estate to be sold because I am of the opinion be most advantageous and that my business of Manufactoring oil cloths should continue as at present – until my son Alsemora shall come to the age of 21 & executrix employ as agents to superintend and direct said business on the most improved plan and at the same time in the most safe and economical manner and be accountable – to be put out at interest under the direction of Samuel W. Eager, Esqr. my said beloved wife sole executrix to execute according to the best of her judgment & will benefit my estate not forgetting the deep interest we jointly have, in the moral culture and well being of the children hereby commited to a mother's care. 21 Dec 1841        Maria Woolsey Executrix of Will of Eleazer G. Woolsey, late of Newburgh, Orange Co , it appears that Charles W. Woolsey, Sarah R. Woolsey, Alsamora Woolsey & Mary Emma Woolsey are infants and heirs, etc. & upon reading & filing the consent of Samuel W. Eager of Newburgh, etc it is ordered that he is appointed special guardian for the said Infants [which said Samuel] is ordered to appear before the Surrogate at the Orange Hotel in Newburgh on 12 Jan next at ten O'clock, etc. Geo M. Woolsey, Eloise J. Fuller, Rachel M. Cozzens and Angela Wood, the children of the said deceased are his only heirs at law and next of kin and all of full age etc.

Wadsworth, Esqr, Surrogate, said executor George D. Woolsey in his person and by C. F. Brown, Esqr his attorney, and D. A. Scott Esqr having appeared for Phebe Woolsey Executrix, Eliza J. Fuller, Rachel M. Cozzens and Augusta Wood & David C. Woolsey having appeared and final settlement allowed as follows: One undivided one half of the sloop Sunansdale, her packet apparel etc valued at $2100; Sne (6) U.S. & 3of Bonds of $100 Each value $600, One town Bond $1000, Premium on US bonds sold $42.75 – total $3742.75. They are to be credited with Bills & Expenses paid as per schedule D of account $524.44 But chargeable to Executors $3218.31. account finally settled – Now hold the same for the benefit of the estate – Chattel Mortgage of Tinnie Woolsey upon the Sloop Sunansdale given for purchase money of one half of said sloop $2100 – Note of David Woolsey $1000 – Note of Mr. E. J. Fuller $300 – total $3400. – Total amount of estate $3218.31, balance; $181.69 belongs to said executor George D. Woolsey as hereinafter set forth: paid bills out of his own pocket and amount to $181.69. Attorneys $30 etc.

Mapes all my interest in house & lot 200 Grand street in Newburgh plus all furniture, etc, upon her death to my nephew Francis Woolsey Mapes & ½ other of my property– to my sister Mary T. Reeder the income of the other ½ of my property not otherwise disposed of, upon her death to my nephew Francis Woolsey Mapes. I appoint my sister Jane D. 18 Dec 1894.        Alzamora Woolsey of Newburgh, Orange Co, NY have made my last Will and Testament bearing date the 4 day of June 1874 in and by which I have given my said property as set forth in said will, this writing a codicil, whereas by said will I did appoint my wife Anna C. to be sole executrix I now appoint my son Alzamora Woolsey an executor to act jointly with his mother. – I also entail the house and lot 129 Chambers Street, Newburgh, I bequeath the said lot to my said wife Anna C. and upon her death to become the property of my said son Alzamora Woolsey, also my library and cabinents of specimens and coins. - Wit: James W. Barnes & Jesse F. Shafer b/o Newburgh. Pro: 15 Nov 1898.
