4 May 1839. Whereas Henry Woolsey of Marlborough died in the month of February last, surviving him his wife Lorretta & Eight children towit: Sally S. Woolsey aged about 34 years, Clementine D. Woolsey aged about 33 yrs, Emeline the wife of Harvey Wygant aged about 28 yrs, John G. Woolsey aged about 26 yrs, Thomas Woolsey aged about 24 years, Phebe Woolsey aged about 22 yrs, Epenetus Woolsey aged about 19 yrs & Elijah S. Woolsey the undersigned aged 44 yrs. And the said Loretta, Sariah?, Clementine, Emaline & her husband & Epinetius reside in Marlborough & said John & Phebe reside in city of New York and the said Thomas in the state Illinoise & the said Thomas, as the undersigned is informed is now on a writ in Marlborough & the said undersigned is also appointed one of the executors of said deceased & intends to apply for the proof of said will. Elijah appoints Benj. Brown, of Plattekill, his attorney, & surrogate to said minor. Elijah resides in Newburgh, Orange Co, but is now employed in the town of Plattekill. John Cole, wit.

Elijah S. Woolsey - 6 May 1839 Loretta Woolsey appointed guardian of minor son Epinitus Woolsey. Will proved 22 May 1839. By John B. Wygant & Charles D. Jackson. John W. Wygant & Nathaniel Harcourt appointed appraisers. 1 pleasure wagon, 1 old wagon, 1 pleasure sley, blacksmith bellows & tools, note on Stephen Woolsey dated 16 Mar 1834 for $150 (paid in full), and other tools, etc. $1106.87. To T. M. Niven for 1 Head & foot stone inscription and revile? Stone $18.00, 15 May 1840. & $2.50 for digging grave. There are many bills & detailed accounts. Thomas Woolsey was in the state of Illinois but before 9 May instant returned to Ulster County where he still resides. 6 May 1839.
