Thanks for stopping in!

The Wrightsborough Project is a special project created to provide researchers with genealogical information on the early settlers of Wrightsborough Georgia Township.  This is a "work-in-progress," so I encourage you to share your family history information here if you have  ancestors who settled in or around Wrightsborough Township.

These  pages focus on the Quakers and non-Quakers who settled the Wrightsborough community.  Here you will find records of births, marriages and deaths of those early pioneers.  Though I am not a Quaker, and have no Quaker roots, I am a native of Thomson, McDuffie County, Georgia.  I lived the first thirty-one years of my life there, and now I am very interested in the wonderful history of the area I grew up in.

The data for these pages came from many sources and may include errors and omissions; therefore, I  assume no responsibility nor liability for the accuracy of the information contained herein.

"The Internet is a marvelous resource and we would commit a grave error to ignore it, but it is only a resource--a very valuable and useful resource--but no more than that. We would be very foolish to ignore it, but we would also be foolish to think that it--and any databases that we may find through its use--are more than they really are. They are useful because they open new vistas of possibility, but they prove nothing. If we can take full advantage of these resources, while keeping them in their proper perspective, only then can they serve us well."  --- (quote from Val D. Greenwood from his book, THE RESEARCHER'S GUIDE TO AMERICAN GENEALOGY")
