Failure to Appear
in Court Solved--
Defendant in Jail
Norman Wynkoop had a good reason for not appearing in Fairfax Trial Justice Court yesterday to answer reckless driving charges--he had just been lodged in the Fairfax County jail on intoxication charges.
Wynkoop, 34, a stone mason from Herndon, Va., failed to answer when Justice Ernest Hudgins called his name to appear on the charge. Police made a short investigation and found the defendant in jail.
They said he was in no condition to appear in court on the driving charge. While lodged in the jail yesterday Wynkoop was also served with another warrant, charging him with reckless driving in Vienna, Va.
