Women Reserve Officers'
Service in Army Extended
Ten Los Angeles reserve officers, five of them women, yesterday had orders extending their active duty with the United States Army.
The women, all second lieutenants in the Nurse Reserve, were extended in service until November, 1942. They are Edith M. Corns, Marion F. Campbell, Ethel K. Wynkoop, Marie Kimmet and Evelyn B. Brown.
George LeRoy Adams of the Field Artillery Reserve, and Edward J. O'Connell of the Infantry Reserve, both first lieutenants, were continued in service until February and April, 1943, respectively.
First lieutenants continued in the Medical Reserve are Elvin A. Wical, at Camp McQuaide, California, until Dec. 14, 1942, and Edward M. Cane, at Ft. Lewis, Washington, until Jan. 4, 1943.
Capt. Charles L. Bell of the Coast Artillery Reserve, stationed at Ft. Winfield Scott, California, was retained until Feb. 2, 1943.
