EARLE IS HERO IN CLIPPING

Faked newspaper clipping...

Faked newspaper clipping describing Earle Wynekoop as a world war aviation hero, which police found folded in his "Cupid's directory."

Lure for Girls

Earle Wynekoop's charm for young women was in some part synthetic, Police Capt. John Stege revealed yesterday.
Folded in the leaves of a "Cupid's directory" which belonged to Earle and contained the names of 50 girls, Capt. Stege found a cleverly faked newspaper clipping in which Earle was hailed as America's second ranking aviator during the world war and was credited with shooting down sixty-two enemy planes.
If true, this would have made Earle also the world's youngest war ace, Capt. Stege pointed out, since young Wynekoop was 12 years old when the war ended.
Capt. Stege said he believed that the faked clipping was a part of Earle's lure for girls.
