Settled Case in Court.

Detectives Barbee and Williams yesterday arrested Edward Wynkoof, a grocer, on a warrant sworn out by Francis R. Hillyard, a jeweler, at 1827 Seventh street northwest, charging him with the larceny of a watch and chain. The complainant alleges that Wynkoof came into his place of business last Tuesday night and while Hillyard stepped out for a moment helped himself to a watch and chain. When the defendant was taken into the Police Court yesterday morning he agreed to pay the value of the alleged stolen articles if the case was dropped. Hillyard agreed to this, and the grocer handed over the necessary amount. The case was nolle prosquied.
