A despatch from Washington, dated 6th inst., states:
Among the regiments reported nearly ready for the field is the 7th Cavalry, or 80th regiment of the Pennsylvania line, commanded by Gen. Wynkoop. This regiment has now nearly a thousand men completely uniformed, and the horses for them have been purchased. As soon as they are armed and furnished horse equipments they will go into active service, when they will, no doubt, render a good account of themselves. The men are generally from the rural districts of Pennsylvania, and for good conduct and physical appearance will compare favorably with any regiment now fighting under the Union banner. The officers are Lieut. Col. William B. Sipes, who served in the three months volunteers, as captain in the 2d regiment. Majors, John E. Wynkoop, late major of the 6th regiment, P. V., James J. Seibert, late Lieut.-Col. 6th regiment, James Givin, late major 2d regiment, which by order of the War Department is to be increased to 1,200 men.
    The St. Clair Sentinel says:
A squad of soldiers from Wynkoop's regiment, mostly from Jenning's company, have subscribed one dollar a piece towards having a sign erected at the house of Wm. Gittings, this Borough, who will according to their request have it erected.
