Arrest of Gamblers.

NEW-YORK CITY.
ARREST OF GAMBLERS.

    Officers Stage and Webb made a descent on that notorious den the "Smile," corner of Howard and Mercer streets, on Tuesday evening, and took in custody four men, named Aug. Winecoop, John McDermott, Robert Isaacs, and Robert White, whom they found gambling for money. They also arrested the proprietor of the house, named Henry Vaughn. The prisoners were detained in the Eighth Ward Station-house all night, and were yesterday brought to the Jefferson Market Police Court and held to answer, each in the sum of $300.
