Hagerstown, Md., Dec. 29.--No bigamy charge will be brought, at least for the present, against Mrs. Mary Wyncoop by Walter K. Strine, named as corespondent in a divorce suit filed by her husband, Ross Wyncoop, it was stated today. Strine was held in $2,500 bail by U. S. Commissioner Hagner for a hearing Monday on a white slave charge preferred by Mrs. Wyncoop, who alleges that Strine took her to Carlisle, Pa., "doped" her and then went through a marriage ceremony. She alleges she and Strine had a drink at a Carlisle drug store, and she remembered nothing thereafter until she awoke before a minister as he was pronouncing the last words of the marriage ceremony. From Carlisle, said Mrs. Wyncoop, they went to Greencastle, Pa., where she lived with relatives of Strine. Later they came to Hagerstown, and when Strine learned Mrs. Wyncoop was already married the couple separated.
Mrs. Wyncoop alleges Strine began annoying her with his attentions four years ago and that he knew she was married. She separated from Wyncoop three times, she declared, but always returned to him and her two children.
