Another Hagerstown Resi-
dent, Worried Over Can-
cer, Kills Himself.

Special to the Washington Post.

Hagerstown, Md., Dec. 29.--This city was the scene of two suicides and the wounding of two persons early today.
Walter Lutman, 37, former policeman, shot and killed himself after seriously wounding his sister-in-law, Mrs. Violet Wyncoop, and her husband, Ross Wyncoop, to whose home he had gone in search of his wife. The Wyncoops ordered him from their home and Lutman opened fire. The couple are in the hospital.
Lutman then returned to his home, gave his 12-year-old son his valuables and, standing over the child's bed, killed himself. His wife, whom he sought to kill was hiding in a local hotel.
John W. Stuffer, 54, worried over cancer, from which he had suffered two years, hanged himself from a tree in the rear of his home. His body was found by his wife.
