[BY CABLE--EXCLUSIVE DISPATCH]

MEXICO CITY, Jan. 22.--It is estimated sixty persons have been executed since the 3rd inst. in the stamping out of the antigovernment movement at Aguas Calientes and Guadalajara. All were connected in one way or another with various insurrection movements or banditry attempts and each was tried by summary court-martial, and executed a few hours after capture.
The majority had been at one time or another political supporters of De la Huerta. Most of the executions were in the States of Jalisco and Michoacan. Among the more recent executions was that of Gilberto Chavez Alcarez, a wealthy rancher in Jalisco, on whose property was hidden Manuel Munoz, leader of the gang which attacked a Guadalajara passenger train. One case of international concern is that of Demetrio Torres, a former general, who was deported from the United States for violation of the neutrality laws and who was caught and shot when he reached Mexican soil.
This places the United States in an awkward position regarding De la Huerta and other expatriated Mexicans, with the knowledge that deportation virtually means a death sentence. At the same time the United States does not desire to harbor any conspiring revolutionary Mexican political refugees. There exists no extradition treaty for political refugees of either country. It is understood special arrangements have been suggested to the Department of Labor to deport future undesirable Mexican politicians to some country other than Mexico.
